In summary

The Club at Savannah Harbor is widely praised for its excellent course conditions, scenic layout, and attentive staff, with many highlighting the well-maintained fairways and greens, as well as the impressive practice facilities. The picturesque setting along the Savannah River adds to the overall experience, offering stunning views and a serene atmosphere. However, some visitors have noted issues with the pace of play and felt that the course was overpriced for the experience offered, while others mentioned occasional challenges with amenities and communication.

This is a must play if you are coming to Savannah or staying. Great course layout, fairways were good and the greens fast and true. The staff was superb in the pro shop. The restaurant was open for breakfast and service was good.

We played it in mid February. Despite everything being dormant, it's a solid track. Mostly wide fairways and GIANT greens. Plenty of 3 putt opportunities 🤦‍♂️. Pretty flat, but the wind picked up during the round and made it challenging. GPS on the carts was helpful for a first timer, but still tricky to figure out the line on some tee shots. Pro shop was well stocked and staff was friendly. The only knock can be seen in the last photo... When we got to the bag drop to pick up our clubs, both of them were laying on the ground. I assume the wind blew them over. Nothing got broken, but the fall…

Golfing at The Club at Savannah Harbor was an absolutely unforgettable experience and easily deserves a 5-star review. From the moment we arrived, the service was top-tier—staff were welcoming, attentive, and clearly passionate about maintaining a premier golfing destination. The course itself is a masterpiece, beautifully situated along the Savannah River with stunning views of the historic downtown skyline and the Talmadge Bridge. Each hole offered a unique challenge, with well-manicured fairways, fast greens, and strategic bunkering that kept things exciting without being punishing. I came…

Six of us played this course on Sunday May 17th, 2026. The staff was VERY friendly The layout is nice and manageable The traps are acceptable Pace of play is adequate Two bottles of drinking water on ice provided on each cart Forgot to check on course restroom for cleanliness Cart path maintained Golf carts gas with GPS Why the 3Stars????? Aside from the meat-eating flying bugs - the course was NOT worth paying $176.55 "NO WAY RENEE'! " We tour the USA golf courses on a regular basis and this course is a $60-$85 course. I would play it again for free of course but personally, I WILL NOT pa…

Fun and challenging course. Conditions were excellent. Great practice facilities with range and large putting green that are extremely well maintained. Would highly recommend playing if you are in the area! (Tip: wear bug spray. Not the courses fault at all; just the reality of the golf course around bodies of water. We wore bug spray and had zero issues. Those in our group that did not, was a different story. Will 100% be back to play this course.)

I hate that I have to rate this place so low because I have enjoyed coming here before, but it seems to have just gone downhill. Doesn’t truly feel like any other club. The amenities aren’t great, let’s be honest. Same menu, always different in taste although the same menu. 🫣 Tried going to the range today. Arrived about 4:20-ish.. no balls. Tried going to the pro shop, doors locked. Range is open, course is open, but no range balls. Then finally after trying to find someone who actually works there, I’m told, “oh, yeah, we’ve been closing it at 4 because we’re understaffed.” Sure, but were me…

Stay away. It takes 5 hours to play on a Wednesday when they have rangers who just drive around and do nothing for the pace of play. You will be driving around the course to find the beer cart, all after paying $100 plus for your round. If that sound like fun, this is your course.

Stunning corse. Our tee time was 4:03 we were a couple paired up with 2 singles together we played from 3 different tees. No stops at the club house in between and we got our carts back right at 8:05 - the last few holes were really rushed to try and get to it all. The sunset over the bridge on the last few holes was immaculate and the scenery throughout was beautiful. The driving ranges was probably the best I’ve ever been to - all other experiences on metro Atlanta. The wind really picked up making the difficulty go up but the challenge was good. Saw a lot of wildlife our favorite being the…

Course Review: The Club at Savannah Harbor Course History: Situated along the picturesque Savannah River, this course was designed by the renowned Robert Cupp, with input from legendary golfer Sam Snead. Once home to the PGA TOUR's Champions Tour, Savannah Harbor has built a reputation as one of the premier courses in the Southeast. Its rich history and scenic marshland views create an experience that blends tradition with natural beauty. Course Conditions: Even in the middle of winter, the course was in outstanding shape. The greens rolled smooth and true, providing a fair but challenging t…

On July 3 I played this course as me and my family was visiting Savannah from Winston-Salem, North Carolina and let me tell you the staff was absolutely fabulous, the young lady in the pro shop was excellent and the Golf Course was in outstanding shape. Let me say this their practice facilities was excellent and first class and whenever we visit Savannah I will always book a tee time, and here is the kicker I left 2 clubs and a very nice golf towel on the 18th hole by mistake it was my fault and the Gentleman John said when I called back to ask them if they had them he said he would ship them…

A long course. Over 6000 yards from the forward tees. Course is in very good to excellent shape. Numerous water holes. Greens are lightening fast. Under $90 dollars in the afternoon a very good value. Also the cart path is outstanding shape. A lot of cart paths are bad shape.

Played Savannah Harbor yesterday — the course layout and design are great, and conditions were decent overall. Unfortunately, the mosquitos were relentless, even with bug spray and a breeze. Be prepared if you’re playing under the trees. Biggest letdown was the service: the grill was locked mid-afternoon on a Tuesday, no drinks available at the turn, and the pro shop didn’t carry refreshments. We only saw the cart girl twice, and she left before we finished. Great location near downtown Savannah, but the service and amenities don’t match the potential. I won’t be returning.
