Southern Hills Golf & Country Club

Southern Hills Golf & Country Club in Georgia is a beautiful and well-maintained course. The greens roll true, the fairways are in great shape, and the layout offers a fun mix of challenging and playable holes. Friendly staff and a great overall atmosphere. Definitely worth playing if you’re in the area!

Great course, and practice facilities. The course is always in great condition. I really enjoyed playing here. There are several really great par 3s on this course my favorite being 17. The clubhouse bar has tasty hamburgers and cold drinks. This golf course is a great value.

The pro shop and Buster are great! The greens, scenery and course are the best in the area. Chipping and putting practice isolated from the driving range for space and prep. Among the best courses in the area! Bar tenders are excellent as well. And if you need gear, the pro shop can custom fit and order whatever you need.

One of the best in middle Georgia. The golf carts were awesome with plenty of tech including touch screen, music, cell phone charging. The course is well maintained and the greens are fast.

Challenging layout. Need to make a lot of different shots to play the course well. Not just hit it as far as you can every hole. My grandson and I played in under 3.5 hours and could have played faster. Definitely not a course I'd want to walk. Long distance between green and next tee on some holes. Greens in good shape. Need better repair of ball marks. Cart paths need some work, but overall the best I've played in the area. We'll be back.

Starting with the good, the course was in good shape. $50 plus tax. Played the white tees. My index around 6.5. Greens healthy with a fairly coarse variety of TIFF. Variable speeds. Very few unfixed ball marks. Most of the divots in the fairways were filled. Tee boxes on par-3's not so much. Course itself has an interesting and varied layout. I have played there probably close to 10 times. The course winds through housing developments, but many of the developments are unfinished, unlandscaped, and unattractive, especially on the front 9. Nice course nearby home! The neighborhood is beautiful and the creek goes through for a very calming. Not sure of the home prices but many houses are HUGE.

This is a nice public course. Pretty open so is not so good golfers don’t lose any balls. Moved along quickly.

Enjoyed a round last night, my first at this course. I played solo and started around 530pm. I only had one group that I had to play through. They didn't seem like they cared that they were holding me up so I had to ask to play through. Once I did, smooth sailing, a pretty fast 2 1/2 hour round in which I played a couple balls at times. For 35 bucks, I enjoyed it a lot! The fairways were pretty decent. Bunkers are small but in decent shape too, if only other golfers would rake after themselves.
