In summary

Sugar Springs Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, enjoyable layout, and friendly staff, making it a popular destination for both local and visiting golfers. The on-site restaurant, The Hearth, receives positive feedback for its food and service, contributing to a pleasant overall experience. However, some visitors have noted issues with customer service communication and course management, particularly regarding tee times and pace of play.

4 of us never heard of it and boy were we surprised at how much fun it was to play, had a nice layout and the greens and course were in excellent shape. We did unfortunately get rained out after the 14th hole. Definitely we will make that trip again

Greens were cross cut and sanded so greens were bumpy dry and not in good shape. They should tell people when they make a tee off time. Must have had mold. Course was dry rough was matter down from lake of water. Pretty Lay out just needs some TLC. The members on the course are snobs and act entitled even to people like me who have so much respect for golf courses and maintenance staff. They won’t even wave to you. They’re literally not happy with non members being on their course. Yet it’s public. Go to Gladwi. heights. Much better course. Last this course shouldn’t be more than a 38 dollar c…

Very nice and clean place to dine in the area. Food's okay... nothing to write home about. Just a note to kitchen chef...use fresh veggies on salads... the tomatoes looked a bit old with wrinkles. I would avoid using them than have them looking like that on the salad. Also, without the two cherry tomatoes on the salad, the salad is kind of boring. Staff is very friendly and attentive.

Just had poor experience on phone with pro shop. Am new to area (mentioned this to him) and wanted to play twilight if possible. First, whoever answered the phone said “SPEAKING” instead of hello or professional greeting. Short story he said twilight starts at 6, but not enough time to play 18 and please start before 6 cuz we would be last group out. Is this club elitist or whats the deal

Amazing course, loved every second of golfing there last week. However, today I called to ask about a tee time. Bill was the employee who took my call. I asked if there was any available tee times after 2:00. Bill told me 1:44. I asked, “your twilight rates start at 2 pm correct?” And I was greeted with a harsh response of “I already told you 1:44 is the only available time.” A simple yes or no on my question about twilight rates would’ve sufficed. My father called back about a half hour later asking if there was any available times after 2:00, and he was told he would be able to golf 9 holes…

Food was INCREDIBLY delicious! It was super inviting the moment we all walked inside. Affordably priced; exquisite quality, superb service. We reside in the Metro Detroit area.... roughly 2.5 hour trip. Stayed in a cabin with some friends and were heading back the other way for more weekend adventures. Stopping in for breakfast before hitting the road, we googled places to eat. Thank HEAVENS we found this gem! The omelets were SO great, we think we would travel the 2.5 hours just for that! FREAKIN perfect!

This is a nice golf course but poorly managed. We teed off at 7:10 on a Saturday and made the turn to find a 5-some in front of us. They were sent off the back. We called the pro shop and they came out. They did nothing and didn’t even explain why they allowed this to continue. We won’t be back. They just lost a lot of revenue. In response to your response...it was never about our pace of play. You sent a 5-some off in front of us as we were making the turn. If you have to go out twice to speak with a group during 9 holes, I think there is a problem that you chose to ignore. I have played a m…

Great place for a round of golf, good food and a beverage. The lakes provide added attraction and a great place for the whole family. Close enough but still that "up north rural feel". We had a wonderful time here.

The food was really great, they messed up our drinks a little, but that's fine. Also, my favorite part was the busser, she was really nice, and helped us out a TONNNN!!

Old school golf course in very good condition. Staff was on their game and very organized. Just a fun course to play and moderately priced. Would definitely come back and play this track again👍
