I have played and experienced many different types of golf courses in the St Louis area and over the river over the last 3 Years. I play Golf all year round at least once a week. I have found my favorite place to play Sunset Hills Golf Course & Banquet Center. The Golf course is a challenge not recommended for hackers or players who are rude and inpatient , I am able play this course without losing too many Balls. The Greens are kept up very well compared to the rest of the ones I have played. I am always seeing the ground crews busy at grass cutting great looking fairways. I Like the better C…

For the money I can not complain about the course. The fairways and greens were decent. The course is not tough but it was fun to play. Several water hazards ate a few of my balls. The staff was nice and the food was decent at a fair price. Golf carts were clean and ran well.

This was the worst course I've ever played. The grass was so long you couldn't find your ball in the fairway half the time. If you rolled in the rough the ball was gone. Lost 6 balls in 4 holes and all my shots were in play. Quit playing because it was so bad. i went back to the clubhouse to ask for a refund or a raincheck and was told no. Then they told me they knew how bad it was because the lawnmower was broke and we're sorry they forgot to tell me. I was charged $54 for 2 people with a cart for 9 holes. This place is a complete disaster. STAY AWAY!!!!! Riverside is nicer and way cheaper. (…

My husband and I decided to go to the driving range for a night out and we were really looking forward to it. When we arrived we went to the automated ball machine and swiped our card for $15 worth of balls, it did not seem to work. So we did it again and it spit out about five balls. There was no one working on site, so I had to search the internet to find a number to call to get ahold of someone since they didn't have a number posted on the machine. Finally when I found a number, I called and the woman I spoke with was very rude, and rushed me off the phone and said someone will take care of…

Honestly my experience was bad from start to finish. First I walked in to pay my fees, and after asked if I could eat my sandwich I had bought from the gas station at the tables in the clubhouse. He told me he couldn't, And the "restaraunt" is how they make their money. First of all, 99.9% of people playing at a public golf course are not planning on eating before hand. Sometimes a hot dog and a bag of chips on the fly, but nobody is expecting an attempt at a full service restaurant sharing a room with a clubhouse, and everyone either eats before or grabs something on the way. It was hot as he…

Course is in terrible shape due to December flooding. Priced as though the course is in good shape. Drive down the middle of the fairway and then get to your ball and look for some grass to put your ball on for a 2nd shot. Worse course I've ever played.

I typically dont leave reviews. However, St. Louis has experienced high levels of rain in the last three weeks and it has done damage to this course. I'm leaving a sympathy two stars as it was in decent shape last month. If you wonder why the course is $20, you'll soon find out once you arrive.

I'd put 0 stars if it were possible. Paid $20 for a full 18 hole round and had significant bolt lightning start while teeing off the 2nd!! hole and went back to the clubhouse to request just a raincheck, and they forced us to wait an additional 45 minutes, until which point a downpour pour had finally accompanied the lightning for a full 20 minutes or more. They finally agreed to give us a raincheck after we waited for the girl working the desk to call numerous managers, none of which could even walk her through how to give us a formal raincheck, because they'd never actually given one out. I…

They have the worst greens out of any course I have ever played. I have a better green in my backyard. The grass on the so called fairways was so high that you would never find a ball. I wouldn't recommend this course to someone that I didn't like.

I've played this course once, in the middle of hte winter and it's what you get for the money. However, I recently went in to get a tee-time around 1:00pm on a Tuesday. I asked to get out for 18 and he was goign to charge me $35. I mentioned there's a cheaper rate on GolfNow and he got super defensive and bascially told me that if I'm going to book a tee-time through GolfNow ($27) that he will just close the tee sheet out and I won't be able ot process the time. I told him I would just pay the $35 as I was already there, wanted to play and was short on time. So, I asked for future reference w…

This course is excellent for walkers. From my two rounds this year, I can tell the new ownership is making improvements. You'll never confuse it with Augusta National, however. They need to do something about the clover and the geese that like to hang around.

Completely un-playable & should be closed. I called before I booked & was told the course was in great shape since the flood. ALL fairways & approaches are nothing but dirt....I wouldn't go play there again for free, much less pay for it!
