In summary

Sycamore Ridge Golf Course is frequently praised for its beautiful and challenging layout, with distinct front and back nines that offer varied golfing experiences. The course is generally in excellent condition, with smooth, fast greens and well-maintained fairways, though some have noted issues with sand traps and occasional maintenance areas. While the staff is often described as friendly and helpful, there are repeated complaints about negative interactions with a specific staff member, which have affected some visitors' experiences.

This golf course is a hidden gem! Absolutely beautiful course and can be a bit challenging, but that'swhy we play this game. Great staff as well! You'll even get a chance at seeing wildlife.

Another 5 star golf experience. It's true when they say it's a tale of two nines. The front nine is a shot makers challenge through the woods. Beautiful scenery and elevation challenges. The back nine opens up and fairway bunkers are plentiful. Great conditions, perfect greens. Staff is super friendly.

5/7/2023 update; course played really well. Greens are hard and don't stick really well, but are speedy and low cut. Sand traps looked good but were not well groomed and/or don't drain well because playing from the traps is not what you'd expect for paying $60/$70 for green fees. Wished they had a cart girl out today given it was about 92 degrees, but stopping inside at the turn had to do. Drinks were great, just wished they were more available! Looks like they're improving the driving range, hopefully adding lighted mats and bringing the range closer to the parking lot. 4/10/22 update: greens…

Unreal golf course. Best fairways and bunkers in KC. The difference between front and back 9 is unreal and an absolute blast to play. Please go play here atleast once if you live in KC. Absolutely worth the drive

Lovely public course, in great shape. The greens are quick, smooth, and challenging. Pace of play was outstanding, 3:50 on a Sunday afternoon.

I was recently at this golf course. I was so impressed with the facility and grounds but mostly about the people who worked there. They were all so friendly and genuine, especially Mitch in the pro shop. Great job! I’ll be back.

Great shot game lesson with David Miller @ Sycamore Ridge Golf Course….Dave pointed out the issues with my ball position, hands, & overall swing to get my chipping dialed in…Highly recommended to go setup a lesson.

The front nine and the back nine are like two different courses. The course has a few areas under repair but was in very good shape for November. The golf carts have a gps unit on them so you know the distance to the pin at each hole. All of the staff were very nice and made sure we had a good experience.

An easy contender for the best public course in the area. The golf is pure and it's the only course I've played where going from the front to the back made me feel like I was playing in two different States. The things we didn't like were that the carts are capped at 12mph and if felt like the greens on the front and back run at different speeds. The water jugs on the front 9 were also empty. All of these were easy to forgive for how fun the course layout is.

Here we are a few years later and I still refuse to play here because of the way I was treated. The worst experience of my entire golf life. I decided I will update my review every time someone asks me to play this place and I decline and take them to my club.

Nice condition, 4 stars is more for the condition, as this will play as difficult as you want it to depending on your tee box selection. Would definitely play again if you're looking for a challenge.
