A couple of Saturdays ago right after New Years me and few buddies played Tangle Ridge for our first time. It was a far drive, but we all enjoyed our round. We were surprised at the conditions of the course being so well with this dry winter season. We didnt really notice any problem areas at all. The greens were challenging with the breaks and slopes and elevation changes but rolled true. It was well worth the cost and our time with the extra drive time included. Afterwards, as me and my friends were eating in the clubhouse dining area, one of the managers named Kevin aka Shorty approached us…

Fun course. Good layout, ok condition with greens being punched and sanded. Pace was slow with no marshalls telling slow players to pick up the pace. Staff was friendly. I'll definitely play here again.

A great course with an incredible staff. Everyone from the pro shop attendant, the cart barn team, and the starter I played with went absolutely above and beyond. Layout is enjoyable with plenty of opportunity to score. Top notch.

Played a Thursday solo round at Tangle Ridge on a hot day in August. The course was pretty good and I can't think of any complaints. The greens were fast all day is the one thing. The practice setup is good with the chipping and putting area. The range maxes out around 275. There is water/ice at the start of round, hole 8 and 15. There is some elevation changes and great scenery and houses. Loved playing this course, fairways and greens looked great for all the heat and lack of rain. They are punching the greens in early September.

Great track! Course was in excellent condition. Greens were a tad slow but in very good condition. Pretty unique course for the DFW area. Feels more like a course down in hill county.

Played here on a Monday morning for the first time and the course itself is incredible. A really fun design that feels and plays more premium than what they charge. I’d happily drive past a few other courses on the way to Tangle, it’s that good.

Tangle Ridge Golf Course is a great value—affordable rates, especially on weekdays , with discounts for seniors. The course is well-kept, with smooth greens, scenic holes, and a layout that feels more upscale than most public courses. A solid choice for quality golf without the high price.

Great golf course. Priced VERY reasonably. A pro course with amateur price. Absolutely beautiful. I just wished the people I ended up playing with were less "golf robots" and more human.

Fairways and sand traps were great, greens were decent speed, not overly quick. The price is hard to beat. Nice layout !

This pains me, because I love this course so much. Pace of play has been totally unacceptable last few visits. Yesterday, 10am tee time on a Tuesday, 40 minutes behind (by their monitor) by #12. 5-10 minute wait on nearly every tee box. Not much fun on a 105 degree day. Nov. 3, 2025- Decided to give them another try, and hit their practice range Monday afternoon. Checked their website first for any closings, events, etc. Nothing was posted. Nor were there any signs or notices upon entry. Informed at pro shop counter, "Sorry, we're closed. Got a tournament going on." I said all I wanted was to…

Really a nice course. Played the front 9 but it was just too hot (99 degrees) to continue. The course is very scenic with nice elevation changes. Only complaint was in this heat we didn’t see beer cart until 9th hole. We will be back in cooler weather.
