The Golf Club at Hilton Head Lakes

First interaction was this the Bag Drop and the gentleman was outstanding and inviting. The pro shop was definitely less than proficient at the simple task of checking us in and paying. It truly took our 2 foursomes 20 minutes to check in. We arrived to the course 50 minutes before our tee time as we unloaded the procedure. when that was done it was incorrect and we had to have them correct our charges. Pristine course. Enjoyed a great day with my husband and two junior golfers. The course was a challenge but they enjoyed every second of it. The course is Beautiful, staff is professional and very kind. We can’t wait to come back.

Was visiting from Florida and made a tee time on a Friday afternoon for 9am Saturday morning. Got there and it was closed due to recent rain. They didn’t take my email or anything to let us know. A lady at the clubhouse was there when we arrived and said they decided to close and emailed everyone to let them know.. She said the course was in good shape and didn’t want play on it while it was wet. Understandble, but figured they’d at least offer us to walk 9. Course did look great though.

Golf range is terrible. Lots of concrete on cart path need repair The greens are full of pollena and difficult to putt. Is that enough?

Fantastic course, cruised right through my round no waiting at all, I thought the greens were in great great shape. I didn't see a blade or patch of poanna anywhere. Long course too from the blues, some of the par 4s holes require a mighty approach very fun and challenging, but as mentioned great wide open Fazio design allows you to crank it off the tee. Only complaint was one sand trap that was like muddy on one hole, I think 17, but that was after some mighty rains. Overall amazing course for the buck I will definitely be back. The layout is nice. The conditions are questionable. The tee boxes need work and the greens loaded with crab grass, effecting putting. Course needs serious maintenance.

The course was in good shape when we played, with decently-maintained fairways and greens. The layout features wide open fairways, making it a forgiving course off the tee. Many holes have no homes along them, giving the course a more natural, spacious feel and a peaceful playing experience. Will be back enjoyed it!!

Fun course, with challenging approach shots throughout the back 9. I’ve played here twice now and Connie has been awesome! She goes out of her way to make sure we have what we need to have a great round.

The course has improved greatly. Hopefully, they will keep it up. Beautiful layout and friendly staff.

Good local course with open fairways and good greens. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Nice range and practice facilities.

We normally don’t drive this far off the Island, especially when it’s raining but we’re glad we did. Connie was super nice and Steve very friendly allowing us to wait out the rain delaying our tee time. The course has some of best and consistent greens we’ve played and while it has generous fairways plays a bit trickier within 125-150 yards out. We didn’t have time for 18 or utilizing all the facilities, however the back 9 holes are very picturesque and no homes in sight. Title: This course discriminated against my mother and made her cry. I want to start by saying my family and I have played this course multple times in the past, and have liked it. It's a good bang for your buck and usually in decent shape. But I cannot recommend coming here with how we were treated and how my mother was discriminated against. It had rained the previous day and was cart path only. Conditions were wet, but not unplayable or dangerous. That is not a problem for me and my father, we were more than willing to comply with that.
