In summary

The Links of Lake Bernadette receives mixed reviews, with some visitors appreciating the course layout and friendly staff, while others note recent improvements. However, many express concerns about the course's condition, citing issues with greens, fairways, and tee boxes. Additional criticisms include outdated carts, poor course management, and inadequate restroom facilities.

Course is in sad sad condition. Tee boxes are horrible, fairway has no real grass and greens look like a spotted elephant. The only thing good there is the draft beer and the waitress. I've been there now 4 times with a group of guys. 37 dollars is a joke. Maybe 20 bucks would be more like it.

May have been the worst course I have played at. Have played there a few times prior, but today every tee box was on a downhill off the normal tee area with 3-5" grass. Every green was dry and brown which played like astroturf. One green had 2 parallel 4" deep cuts going across like someone pulled heavy chains through the green. "Fairways" were either full of clover grass and weeds or dry and brown. It is sad when local municipal courses are in much better shape than this course. Definitely will not play this course again. Any price for this course is a waste of money.

The greens are horrible! The older lady that worked yesterday was rude and unpleasant. Perhaps she hates her job. I’m not sure, but she is in a customer service position and needs to learn to be kind and pleasant to customers.

I've come here a lot and have always had a decent time. Today, my wife and I signed up for 9 holes, the course has always been fine with me picking the least crowded set and going, so when I walked out and saw people at #1 I opted for #10 which was wide and clear. No starter to guide me in either direction, which is common there later in the day. As I was taking my shot, two carts containing four older guys pulled up. I figured the two of us wouldn't slow them down, took my shot (a good shot halfway down the par 4), started to the cart, when one of the men yelled over asking what I was doing…

This was our second—and probably last—round here. The course is in rough shape: greens have dead patches, large holes, and uneven surfaces that make putting feel like guesswork. Sprinklers even kicked on during play in the early afternoon, which shouldn’t happen on a properly managed course. There was no starter, no ranger, and no pace-of-play enforcement, so the round felt unorganized from the start. The cart paths are so broken up they feel like off-roading, and the carts themselves are in poor condition. One had steering so bad you could hear metal grinding, and we had to go through three…

This course is awesome. I’ll play it the next time I’m in Tampa also. More than a few cool holes where you need to think while on the tee. Great conditions. Fast greens. Certainly one of my favorites in the greater Tampa area. I loved it and will play it again for sure. The clubhouse sandwich in the clubhouse was wonderful for lunch. Delicious and very filling.

Greens are in sad shape...pace of play absolutely terrible. There was a weekly group out in front of us, our tee time was 12:39 today Tuesday 17 Feb. One gentleman was driving his cart beside the green, the gentleman could barely walk.

The course is in much better shape than I expected. They’ve clearly done a lot of work. Only one green was bad, and the pro shop explained they had a hydraulic leak that killed the grass. The last time I played there the tee boxes, fairways and greens were bad, but I would recommend it based on conditions today. We teed off at 7:00 and played on about 3 hours.

One of the worst experiences I have had at a golf course. The course wasn’t in great shape and there were about 4 sand/dirt tee boxes. But the marshalling and course management was terrible. We had a larger group but we were playing a scramble. When we told the starter, he was completely fine with it. Well they must have grossly overbooked, because even our large group was still on the heels of the foursome in front of us on every hole. 9 holes took about 3.5 hours because it was so backed up. On top of that, the course manager had a power trip and got upset about us having too large a group.…

After reading the reviews I was a bit worried. I have to say, it was a nice course. Sure some greens were in the process of repair. The carts are way better than the two other courses I played in the area. A couple tee boxes needed mowed but overall it is a challenging course and a good pace of play. The bad reviews are wrong, plain and simple. I will play this course again. P.S. to the new owners, keep up the good work.
