Terrific time here! Greens were fast and receptive. Very lovely clubhouse overlooking the golf course and views of Augusta in the background. My favorite two stretches of holes were alongside an old railroad track. Definitely had more of a very flat for the area. topographically but very fun course. Definitely was a a really pleasant round of golf and would highly recommend this course to anyone.

While visiting the area, decided to practice and play The River course on 3\4\24. For early March both the practice facilities and the golf course were in great shape. The practice facilities consist of a grass driving range, a putting green and a chipping green. All were in first class condition. The course is relatively flat. The course is challenging but fair. You will not be bored playing this course. Any lapse in concentration will be penalized. Most of the greens are protected by sand traps. The greens were some of the best putting surfaces I have ever played on. Great condition and l…

My experience at The River Golf Club was memorable, and I enjoyed every aspect from the 1st hole to the 18th hole. Each hole offered a unique layout, presenting varying challenges that demanded thoughtful consideration of strategy. The course condition, for the most part, was great. However, the greens rolled inconsistently from one to another. Additionally, the practice range was in rough shape, with the strip of grass available for practice mostly covered in divots and seeded sand. Overall, I would recommend a visit to The River Golf Club.

I decided this afternoon to head over to The River Golf Club to hit range balls. The facilities were exceptional. The pro shop staff was pleasant. They had 2 ball bag sizes. Small $5.00 and large $8.00 for 30 and 60 balls respectively. This is a reasonable going rate. The range had a member area and a non - member area. I believe members get free range balls. The range is long and can be used for all clubs. The field was well mowed and maintained as was the hitting areas. I recommend stopping by for some practice. I will certainly return soon.

Beautiful course. Flat but lots of water and bunkers. Best part is the 19th hole which is similar to the island green at TPC Sawgrass but only a partial green.

Gem in the heart of downtown augusta! If you know somebody who is a member here dont hesitate to ask them to come out for 18. Great food, great atmosphere, and most importantly great conditions regularly. Love coming out here whether im playing well or not.

This is a great course, and it's always in prime time condition. The greens are wonderful, but what truly stands out is the staff. Chris, Wayne, Paul, Pam and Tammy are all stars. They even put up with my crew!

I was in Augusta for Masters week and had to play The River Golf Club. I noted how friendly the staff were from the bag drop. I liked the flow of the course. For the amount of rounds played, the course was a great condition. I picked the 17th hole is the signature hole.

Beautiful course kept in great shape. For the price, I don't think you can get a more challenging and satisfying round of public golf in the area.

Overall a good layout, greens were in great shape and rolled quick and true...a few holes can get tight and be pretty tough... Good driving range and the putting green was good also

Very challenging course! I am sure "local knowledge " goes a long way, with the grasses, and lay up options. Greens are about as true as you can have, don't read too much into the breaks. Pin seekers beware! Tough greens to HOLD!
