In summary

Twelve Stones Crossing is appreciated for its beautiful setting, challenging layout, and notable elevation changes, with some visitors highlighting the friendly and accommodating staff. However, several reviews point out that the course conditions, particularly the greens and tee boxes, are in need of improvement, which detracts from the overall experience. The on-site restaurant, Sand Trap, offers live music and a casual atmosphere, though opinions on the food and drink quality vary.

It's so disappointing how terrible this course is. Could be one of the best with any care. Every part of this course is terrible. They spent tens of thousands of dollars on new golf carts but they have an address the fact that every tee box is dirt, the greens have more dirt than green and the fairways are destroyed. I don't know who's managing this and making budgetary decisions but they are clearly not interested in maintaining a good course nor pace of play. We have so many options for cheaper greens fees in Middle Tennessee avoid this place at all costs.

This course is amazing! Such a beautiful course with amazing views, challenging layout, and really cool elevation changes. They are obviously working on the tee boxes and there were some rough areas in a couple fairways that apparently got messed up from sledding in the winter. Not a big deal at all. This is now one of my favorite courses and I’ve played hundreds. Twilight rate was pretty good and staff was great

Course layout was great, some good views and good hole designs. But I’ll let my pictures of the greens and tee boxes explain my one star rating on this $72 round of golf.

A couple days ago I stopped by to check the course out. Curt, the Pro, was forthright and transparent about some challenges they've had with some of the greens. I appreciate candid ownership on matters such as these. The course has Tiff Eagle greens. He gave me a cart and let me ride around and check the place out. The front nine had some greens that were in rough shape, but they weren't unplayable. Rather, they had some problem spots. Overall, the most negatively affected greens on the front might have had ~10% of trouble in selected areas. I booked a tee time today and played 9 holes before…

I have played many rounds at 12 Stones. It’s been almost 2 years since I’ve been here. Went last Friday. I had heard it was under new management and great improvements had been made. Sorry, didn’t see any. 60.00 at 4:00 and was told no rain checks allowed. Only was supposed to play 9. After complaining, was told they would make an exception and allow a rain check for 9. Bought 2 beers from cart girl for 5.00 a piece. After 9, decided to try and play 3 or 4 more holes as I knew it was my last trip. Never would use the rain check. 15.00 for medium bucket of balls. You can’t put lipstick on a pig…

***LIVE MUSIC & Oma’s favorite spot*** (This review is on the Sand Trap at 12 Stones) I don’t know why I’m tormented, sometimes, with Google’s single rating system of one to five stars which blankets an entire experience. I wish Google would create a rating system so a reviewer could rate an establishment in four different categories. Maybe one day Google will hear my cry, but in the interim, I will break down what I think are the FOUR most important rating categories… FOOD/ DRINKS, AMBIANCE, SERVICE, & BATHROOM GAME. FOOD/ DRINKS: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ For what it is, the Sand Trap’s food is serviceable.…

I recently played at Twelve Stones Golf Club in Goodlettsville, just outside Nashville, and I’m genuinely impressed with the transformation this course has undergone. The new golf course superintendent has done an absolutely stellar job revitalizing the property. The fairways are meticulously maintained, the Bermuda greens are lightning fast yet true, and the overall upkeep is top-notch. It’s clear that a lot of care and expertise has gone into making this course shine. The layout itself is both scenic and challenging, with rolling hills and dramatic elevation changes that keep every hole exc…

Read the reviews that make this course out to be horrendous are absolutely incorrect. It is very obvious the management has gotten a new list of things to correct and getting it done. The first cut around the greens are putt worthy. Greenskeepers are everywhere fixing the little things that matter to even the hackers. Carts are newer with a cooler and ice is provided near the ball dispenser. Driving range has four targets to work on short, medium and long irons. Putting area is very nice. Veteran rate is same as senior price. Currently at 41.19 for 18.

Hosted our annual golf tournament here and had an incredible experience. The course is super fun and the staff is incredible. Sam was great to work with and very accommodating to our group. They even made us name tags for carts and custom scorecards with our logo on them. The Sand Trap bar is a great spot for food and to hang after the round. Would highly recommend this place especially for big groups!

I played 12 Stones a few months ago, and to be honest, the course was in absolutely horrendous shape—disappointing for such a promising layout. But I returned today, and WOW, what a 180° turnaround! The fairways are lush, the greens are pristine, and the entire place looks incredible. The golf course superintendent has clearly worked miracles. I’m beyond impressed with the transformation and can’t wait to see what they do next. Highly recommend giving 12 Stones a visit—you won’t be disappointed!

I’ve been golfing at this course over the last 6 years and while it’s never been anything to write home about, it’s always been a decent course with decent pricing ($50 a round). This summer the course closed for some “renovations” of the greens and tee boxes. When I went to book a tee time and saw the price had been upped to $80 a round I thought I’d give it a shot to see the new improvements. As you can see from my photos, this course has only gotten worse since the “renovations”. DO NOT spend your hard earned money here. There are plenty of courses in Nashville that are half the cost and…

So the new superintendent is amazing in 3 weeks the course has completely changed for the better. Greens are improving every day and the dry spots are almost gone. What a difference from late June! Great turnaround this fall should be epic!
