In summary

Gaylord Springs at Opryland is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, challenging layout, and picturesque setting along the Cumberland River, with many golfers appreciating the friendly staff and top-tier practice facilities. However, some visitors express dissatisfaction with the pace of play and high prices for food and beverages. Additionally, there are occasional concerns about customer service and course conditions, particularly on the greens.

In General Gaylord Springs is the crown jewel of Nashville public golf—impeccably groomed from tee to green and screaming "tour-ready." At 6,981 yards from the tips, it’s a big, beautiful beast with wide fairways, strategic bunkering, and water in play on multiple holes, all set along the Cumberland River with skyline views. The course feels like it could host a PGA or Korn Ferry event tomorrow; every blade of grass is manicured to perfection. New clubhouse, top-tier facilities, and a practice area that rivals private clubs make it feel premium. The only real knock? Pace of play dragged our fo…

Listen, the course is above average for the area. However, i don’t know who has taken over this operation… but a 6 pack of MILLER!!!! Is $50. Lol one mixed drink (double) is 40$. I love golf and I’m willing to pay for an experience. This course used to be that, but greed has got them. I’m sure the business model is…. We have a huge population, they will pay it. But I promise after living here for 2 decades, I will not be back. The course conditions are average at best. They can’t control the grain of their Bermuda greens. The fairways and rough have become closer to a sub par public course…

Very Nice Course and friendly staff. It’s very Beautiful. Just wish my game was on par with the course. Scottish style link course with hills, bunch of deep sand traps, water features, and next to the Cumberland River. Greens played really fast on this day. Paid about $100 (Military Discount) and played after 3 days of rain. Cart path only so it was a lot of back and forth.

This course is one of the premier courses in Eastern Tennessee. Now with that being said, I felt some of the amenities were lacking for a course of this high of caliber. The range balls were just the typical yellow balls, we were hitting off mats, the carts were something similar to what you see at a local public course, which I know this is a public course but for almost $100 per round I just expected the golf amenities to be a little better. The course itself was in great condition, it had rained the night before but the water drained really well. The bunkers were definitely an adjustment fo…

Our round today was interrupted by a ranger who made our foursome wait for 10 minutes while a threesome behind us could finish the 14th hole and play through after we had already teed off. This threesome had been at least a half hole behind us since the first hole. They caught up with us on 12 after we struggled on that hole, but we picked up the pace on 13 and were back on track to stay at least a half a hole ahead. The threesome apologized, saying they had be "fine with the pace" and had not asked to play through. I'll add that even with waiting 10 minutes, we still finished the round in und…

Had a great time golfing with friends while attending a Neighborly Franchise Reunion with Real Property Management. Thanks Lee, Luke and Brandon. As for the golf course… the weather and the golf couldn’t have been better. Started off with a bid of a fog delay, which was cool to experience. The course was is great shape, the greens were perfectly manicured. Overall it was a good experience! Thank you

A fun afternoon of golf in a beautiful setting. The course is fair but demanding, and errors are punished. Greens run true and have a slight bend in them that makes putting an enjoyable challenge. Certainly a place you want to play more than one round because you learn so much about the course your first time through. My only complaint is the pace of play really slowed on the back nine, and we almost didn't finish.

Awful customer service. The bald guy at the front desk yelled at customers for having a golf cart in the parking lot which we had no idea was prohibited. Instead of politely asking us to remove the carts he was very aggressive and asked a member in our group if he wanted to fight. Was insane behavior.

Forget the poor course conditions, range hitting off the mats year round, terrible service, extremely slow play, exorbitant prices for a low-tier golf course - those aren't the worst parts. No refunds or rain checks are given. If you need to cancel, you will be charged the FULL price even if it's lightning, or you call from the HOSPITAL. These people only care about $$ and have no decency or regard for humanity.

December 12th golf. Course in very good condition. Course was wet with cart path only (added an easy twenty minutes to round). GPS in carts. Easier course off the tee. However, approach shots and play around greens can be very tough! Fast greens! Very nice setting. Would definitely play again.
