Beautiful course. Staff is awesome! Fran and Steve are super cool and helpful! A hidden gem, this course has GPS screens on each cart, You instantly know how far you are to the whole and can see other players ahead of you, a great safety tool, as well as order food after your great round! It would be five stars except for the price and variable slow play.

Will give it 5 stars based on what I expect the conditions to be like in warmer weather. You can tell the course is well cared for and even though it had a rained a LOT there was not a lot of standing water or super soggy spots. Greens were in good condition considering early March play. They're renovating parts of the clubhouse but assume this will be done for later spring. Staff is nice and price isn't too high so I'll definitely be back!

Course was in good shape. A little wet but it was good to play. Greens were in good shape.

The course was in good shape. Would have hoped the pace of play would have been better mid-week mid-day, but the conditions and value were worth it.

Awesome course, maybe one of the best public courses I have played. Great layout and in great shape despite the small tine aeration which they were completely upfront with on the phone when booking.

Umstead Pines is a hidden gem in north Durham. Always kept up well and pace of play is great. Easily one of the best public courses in the triangle.

Course was great and well maintained, however, the ranger ruined the round for me. I have never been told to pick up the pace when I was on a 3.5hr pace round. My tee time was 1:37pm and I was on hole 7 by 2:40pm. I felt constantly rushed and the whole experience was ruined.

Attended event at clubhouse. Venue was beautiful and surroundings serene and well-kept. Event went very well and I will certainly recommend to others for such events. It is at a golf club and the grounds were breathtaking.

I've been coming here for years, mostly for Golf, and visiting friends. This past weekend I came for a wedding. It was my beautiful niece!! It was a super magical experience ❤️

Played this course the day after I found out it exists since they do not advertise on golf now. In good shape for November. Bunkers will need care before prime season next year and the tee boxes should be repainted. Very short, wide open, and easy to walk and play. Greens are tricky and pin placement was not ideal. No ranger. Driving range small. Overall seems well run. Would love to see this place during prime golf season.
