Easily one of the nicest public courses I've played in quite a while. Everything from the range to the greens were in damn near perfect shape.

Golf now showed tee time 3:48. I was there at 3:35 Stopped by Waverly Woods Golf Course while in the area and tried to walk on for a round. I understand I’m not a local and that tee times can be tight, but the experience at the front desk left a bad impression. The kid working the counter came off pretty rude and dismissive. Instead of even attempting to help or offer options, it felt like I was just brushed off. A simple “we’ll try to get you out” or explaining the situation with a little effort would’ve gone a long way. I was told there was a league starting, which is fair—but the delivery…

The course was absolutely beautiful and challenging. I think it would also be a challenge to find a better looking public course in the area.

One of the nicest courses in Maryland. Check in and Marshall are very friendly and kind. The course is really well maintained. I would like to go back again and again and again…

One of the best golf experiences I've had in MD. This course is in excellent condition. Slightly challenging to walk due to hills and a couple of holes that are spaced out from each other, but I love walking courses and it didn't bother me. White tees played a good distance for me, although I think I could have handled the blues (shot an 82). I typically don't like courses that have undulated fairways, it's challenging for me to hit off severe down slopes or with the ball above/below me. However, the beauty of the course and its condition made it worth it. It was definitely a fun challenge and…

Fantastic course. However, it sucks to drive 30 min to go practice and all the practice facilities are closed. Maybe I just have bad luck, but this is the second time this has happened. Nothing on the website or any social media and when I walked in to the clubhouse, got stared at like I was in the wrong place and just pointed at when I asked where the restroom is. 2 stars only bc of the course. Don’t come here if you want friendly staff and consistent facilities. Edited to add: I spent $13 on <50 golf balls to hit off mats on the range that they advertise is “all grass”

Waverly Woods has a good course layout but seems to lose heart due to the unkindness of the staff. When I made a reservation on the phone because I couldn't access the website, the female employee who answered the phone said the green fee was $60, but when I checked in, it was $63 plus tax, so it was $65. It has become a mean golf course in the middle of the neighborhood, receiving expensive green fee from local residents, but not cleaning up the leaves on the green. $8 for a draft beer... Blue mesh and Whisky Creek run by the same company are kind, but I don't know why only Waverly Woods empl…

Have played at this course a few dozen times. Because I play with members, they asked us to phone in our tee times to avoid complications with their system. In doing so, the cost for our foursome increased by ~$60 relative to the price online. Why am I getting charged extra for playing with members and accommodating their request in booking over the phone to help them out? When I spoke to the manager, she said there was nothing she could do about it. Utterly disappointing service and will look to spend my weekends elsewhere.

Course was in great conditions. Great layout with a good amount of elevation gain/loss, yet challenging. Had a blast playing this course.

First time playing golf in the heart of the winter. So I was grateful they were open and kept my expectations low for the $35 I paid due with there pay by temperature of the day. With that being said the shape of the course was in decent shape, I would love to see what the course looks like in season. Gorgeous houses on the course with nice creeks and canals. The course is the most hilly course I have ever played on so lots of tricky stances. It is not to challenging if you can hit the ball half decent and have a good tee shot. Guy inside was super helpful also and pro shop was decent. My only…

The course seems to always be in fantastic condition. ALWAYS! The Superintendent here has always done a great job. Just play around Maryland right now, and you can see, keeping up on a golf course is not easy, it takes effort. And it obvious, he makes the effort. Come, play, enjoy the course. My son and I have been playing almost everything that has a greens fee this summer. Let me re-phrase, everything considered a "upscale" course. And by far, more than not, we come to the conclusion, "It's nice, but not as nice as Waverly". This course is busy, it gets played and played and yet, the condit…
