In summary

Willow Springs Country Club is appreciated for its friendly atmosphere, welcoming staff, and classic, laid-back setting. The course layout is generally liked, though several visitors note that the greens and fairways require maintenance, with some areas showing significant wear. While the club offers reasonable pricing and amenities like a pool and snack bar, concerns about course conditions, inconsistent pricing, and security issues have been raised by some patrons.

A fun, challenging course. Long and narrow. I usually play whites at Reedy Creek and other places, but played gold here. A few of the greens could use a little work, thus the 4 stars instead of 5. But I'd come back.

Went today for the first time with a group of 4. It's an older facility but still not too bad. I had mixed feelings on the course itself, really like the layout but there are several trees and or limbs that completely block out shots that are in the fairway. Fairways were ok with some bare spots, but they should continue to green up and fill in and some just ain't gonna...I reckon. Greens were hit and miss with some having pure bald spots but still should get better with the hotter weather approaching. Hotdog was good! Website says $25 for 18 and ride but we were charged $30 which still was re…

Greens aren't 100% but good price, great employees, extremely customer service oriented old school. I will definitely be back!

Me and my family are new members, and as soon as you walked in, you felt welcome. This isn't your stereotypical country club where all the "rich snobs" hang. People here are very kind. The club has a snack bar, a pro shop, a golf course, and my favorite. The pool. You can get more details once you join! Maybe I'll see you there! 😊👌🏼

For $30, it’s tough to complain. Course is in mediocre shape. Fairways are mostly overgrown grass. I’d recommend another track in the area.

Played a round here. Was not disappointed due to what I heard. Was expecting what I got. Some holes were great, and other obviously needed work throughout. Greens, fairways rough cart paths, etc. You name it. Definitely needed an improvement. Doubt it will happen since it's supposed to close. Too bad. Could be a nice course with help.

I think it could be a pretty decent course. The greens were not in the best of shape. Someone stated they were closing. I cannot confirm that.

Took my normal playing partners to Wilson (We play once a week anywhere from Wake County to Cumberland), after a horrible experience at another course in Wilson, Mr. Driver allowed us to walk on and play 18. He was an awesome guy. The first thing he did was give us a discount after he heard about the terrible service we had at the other place. The condition of the course was good. Fairways pretty open, lots of trees lining them, so you will get a root off the fairway once in a while. Cart Paths are kind of rough, but pace of play was great. You can tell this was once the premiere course in Wil…

Staff had a very rude and condensing behavior. Decided to up charge us $15 when the price written on the board was $10 was greeted with an attitude when I challenged the price. After paying the guy threw our cards back at us. Worst service I have ever seen in my life. The course also needs a lot of work the grass overgrown and not maintained. Do not come here there is much better places to play in the area

Golf course review: The course is in very very rough condition. I have never seen a course with so many areas with no grass in the fairways and greens. Balding patches on all the greens and fairways. The greens are bumpy and rough. Cart paths need to be repaved. Golf cart was dirty, even had a big spider web in it. They Definitely charge too much to play this course. Also, dress code is not enforced. Many were in t shirts. This could be a beautiful course if they would work on improving it

I went there for a retirement party recently. The folks were super kind and the food was great! The atmosphere was good. It's an older building but fairly well-kept. The pleasant attitudes more than make up for any building deficiencies. Would recommend.

If I could leave a 0 review I would. Tee boxes are so hard they break your tees. Greens are sand, fairways are basically dirt painted green. Bunkers are concrete and the owner (Jimmy) cares more about a dollar than spacing out tee times and actually maintaining the course. For example letting an 18 player group tee off at the same time. Make the extra 15-25 min drive to play somewhere else. Not worth the sweat to play at this course.
