In summary

Cardinal Country Club is frequently praised for its affordability, friendly staff, and ongoing improvements to the course, making it an appealing option for beginners and casual players. The course offers a good layout with challenging holes, and the maintenance team is noted for their efforts in enhancing the greens and fairways. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about inconsistent course conditions, such as overgrown areas and lack of amenities like water on the course, as well as issues with player etiquette and staff interactions.

Im fairly new to golf and have always came to Cardinal since I started. The amount of progress the course has made in a few short years is incredible. They seem to keep increasing the quality while keep their prices very low. Thats very hard to find. I highly recommend giving Cardinal a try even if its out of your way a little.

Course is rough. No water anywhere on course or in proshop. No hot dogs not enough golf cart keys and to wait 30 mins after tee time. Rough course

I love this course. It's a great hidden gem in this area. Green fees are great for what you get. The maintenance team is doing a great job and the course looks better and better, year after year. Some of the greens are a bit rough in areas but the future of this course holds a lot of potential. As someone who started golf only last year this course is great for beginners. It's clean and easy with plenty of challenges. The driving range is irons only unfortunately but pricing for buckets is a steal. Highly recommend you check them out.

The course is in great shape, and the greens run true. Friendly staff, golf etiquette adhered to. Narrow and long course, esp. back 9. Pro shop has fair prices on beer and provides a cooler. Had fun!

Good value for the green fee. Overall this is a good course. 17 of 18 greens were in good shape. A couple dog legs were challenging and other fairways were straight forward. I would play it again.

The greens were awesome, You can tell that the facility is working on getting the landscaping right. Challenging but still accessible to beginners. Really nice golf course

Everyone here is super friendly. Greens fees are very affordable and the grounds keepers are doing an fantastic job reviving this course. It has most definitely improved from years past.

Giving Cardinal 5 stars. Is it as nice as a "five star" course down in the sandhills? Nope. But for a course at its price range it is absolutely outstanding. We usually play weekdays, and there's always people working on the course. The greens are in generally great shape (some burns on the ridges, but they don't put the cups near them), bunkers have sand and can be hit out of, fairways are mowed short and the rough is kept kind of long. For the value, it's an outstanding golf course and one I very much enjoy playing.

Horrible experiences. I have been here several times and it just won’t get any better. Staff is extremely rude. Trash still left in carts. Greens are horrible. You hit the ball and it’s bound to take a 90 degree turn because of these holes. I measured one on a par 3 from the front 9 and it was near 0.5” deep. Can’t believe there used to be tournaments held there. Definitely not worth the price.

Thanks to a poor experience in Wilson, NC at a course, (poor service), our group decided to try the Cardinal. What is interesting is a friend of mine used to live across the street and even though I was familiar with the course being there, I had never played it. What a PLEASANT SURPRISE! Lady working the desk was friendly and quick to get us out. We had two foursomes in front of us and the slow one let us play thru, and the second group kept a good pace. Course was in good shape, the only complaint we could find was the pine straw and leaves all over the greens; however, in NC you should expe…
