In summary

Willowbrook Country Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, challenging layout, and affordable pricing, making it a popular choice among golfers. The staff, particularly individuals like Bob, are often highlighted for their friendliness and helpfulness, contributing positively to the overall experience. However, some visitors have reported issues with customer service, particularly involving the starter, and occasional maintenance problems, such as overgrown fairways and lack of water stations. The dining facilities receive mixed reviews, with some enjoying the food while others find it lacking.

Wonderful course. Friendly staff, well maintained tee boxes and fairways, fast tricky greens, and an almost unbeatable price point of under $50 for 18 holes. Go try it out, you won’t regret it.

Really great course! Amazing greens, fun course, well maintained facilities, and freely staff. Bob was a great help and a real good man. He made the first time experience seemless. Easy and good guy to talk to. Will be back!

The course itself is well-maintained, with the greens in excellent condition. However, the customer service experience was disappointing, largely due to the behavior of the starter, Jim. After we completed the front 9, we were told by Jim that we could not proceed to play the back 9 because the course was 'booked up.' This was incredibly frustrating, as the first hole was wide open with no one ahead of us. Jim was not only unhelpful but also rude, arguing with us instead of offering any solutions or attempting to accommodate us. His unprofessional behavior and complete lack of basic customer s…

Excellent value course for the casual golfer. Nice variety of holes nestled in the San Diego River valley east county. Can get hot during the summer and perfect during the cooler months.

Fun and forgiving, this course is emaculate. The groundskeepers really baby this hidden gem. Starter Bob is efficient and friendly. Played the men's Tees in about 3 1/2 hours. Highly recommend this course!

I had my wedding here and it was amazing. Great service, food was amazing, and it looked beautiful. We were able to sent up a photo booth which everyone loved.

Willowbrook is a great facility. Even if you're not an avid golfer there is good food and with patio and indoor seating. Often utilized as a Vote Drop Box location as well for California voting

I had a similar experience as Nick (from 5 months ago)... At 2:10 today (8/29), I walked up as a single, with no tee time as I have done many times in the past (and as recently as last Friday). When I asked the lady in the Pro Shop if she had room for a single , she said "No, we're full". I asked "all day?" She said "Yes, All Day" This seemed unlikely since there were maybe fifteen cars in the parking lot. There was a twosome on the tee and no one else waiting to tee off, nobody on the putting green. No Starter in the booth. She was polite but insisted that there was no room for a single. I di…

Course was in great condition. Requires some course management, mostly due to some very large trees. The clubhouse is also very nice. Price is a little high - $18 go 9 holes walking - but other than that, no complaints.

My girlfriend's and I had lunch there recently and regretted this decision. Everyone was very disappointed in their meals. My Reuben was the worst I've ever had. The staff was friendly, but not very good at their jobs. We had to refill our own drinks. Definitely will pass on this place in the future.

One of the best maintained courses in East County San Diego; maybe even all of San Diego county. Water stations are lacking, but that doesn't take away from the 5 stars this course deserves. Staff goes above and beyond and the rates are kept low.
