Our son just had his 7th birthday party here yesterday, and it was fantastic! We were able to use the Men’s Lounge area to set up a hang out space, where we could eat and open presents, which was perfect. Coach Nic Cefalú who is the Director of Instruction for the club, came in (on his day off) to help make this day super special for our son and his friends. He had a fun and festive set up on the putting green using pool noodles, and coached all the kids through the mini-course. He made sure each kid was given attention, and gave them all pointers. Coach Nic’s main focus was ensuring everyone…

Myself and two other ladies took a 3 lesson golf package with Nic, what a great experience! We all came with different golf back grounds from already plays a bit to no experience, which was myself. Although it was a three person package he took the time to break down individually each person’s ability level. We all three walked away having greatly improved. I will be back to continue to get this new sport down with Nic’s expertise.

Club Pro Nic Cefalu has been a tremendously positive, and informational golf coach. I've taken only 3 lessons so far, but I've learned how to hit with a pitching wedge, sand wedge, 9 iron, putter and the driver with confidence. While there are 3 of us in a lesson, he's able to give each of us special tips to help us learn and advance. We plan to take more lessons soon.

I was exhausted from bending over the open hood of my car struggling to attach jumper cables because my car wouldn’t start. The wind was blowing and starting to rain. Being scantily clad and with no coat I was freezing, when 3 nice men offered to help me start my car. I was even able to get warm in the back seat while two men worked on my car and the third gentleman worked on getting me warm in the back seat, lol

Come to Alta Sierra where you can watch complete drunk idiots suck at golf and shank balls over and over with their pants down, so much in fact I got it on video. Come to Alta Sierra where every employee couldn't care less about the absolute clowns 'playing golf' in front of us, especially the Marshall who acted like we were out of line for complaining to him and expecting him to do his job. Completely ruined a decent day of golf. The course is not in great shape, but it's a cute track, impolite bar tenders to apathetic Marshalls, good luck if you decide to waste your money here.

I gave Alta Sierra GC a try for the first time, and I will be back. The course is located in the heavily forrested hilly terraine north of Auburn on HWY49. The staff were helpful, the course was in good shape, and greens were fast. It appears that there is ongoing maintenace taking place, lots of tree trimming taking place. Most of the tee boxes were in good shape, a few showed signs of under repair. The fairways were for the most part in good shape. There is water (ponds) in place on several holes which is a nice touch. Being in the foothills, there are plenty of elevation changes, which also…

Got a lesson from Nic. He was very friendly and all together a great teacher. I managed to play my best round of golf after 2 lessons which were one week apart. After watching me whack a few balls he gave me some really good suggestions. It felt awkward at first, but I hit enough balls at the range to get the hang of it. I highly suggest getting a lesson if you struggle at golf and want to up your game.
