Great value for a phenomenal course. Fees were well under $100 which for a course like this in California is extremely rare. Great shape tee to green. No frills, don’t expect a gourmet restaurant or bar, but both food and drink are available. If you’re in the area this is a must play.

Got the chance to play this course recently. And it did not disappoint! The course is in Great shape and improvements are being made to it daily. Enhancements that have been done to make this course as beautiful and challenging as it is, go unnoticed to the average golfer. Yet give it the look and feel one would want from a round of golf. The greens are immaculate and fast and make it all that much more challenging. There are plenty of tee boxes placed in positions for any type of golfer to enjoy this course. Cannot wait to come back and play it again!

My mom lives on this golf course and the golfers are so pleasant and polite. We recently toured the grounds and it was a breathtaking afternoon that we spent driving golf carts around the 18 hole course. The grounds are very well maintained and the customer service is top notch- Mark in the front office is very kind and accommodating. The carts are electric and have Bluetooth capability. They have 2 restrooms on the course and a hotdog/ snack cart that goes around which is well stocked with beverages and food. Overall this is a gorgeous course to spend some time. They also have a driving ra…

Challenging and beautiful course. The course is in great shape. Enjoy the challenging layout, with every hole is a different experience. Lots of elevation changes from hole to hole with strategically placed bunkers and streams throughout the course. Hope next time clubhouse is fully stocked, only had one hat with logo which was too small. Staff was pleasent. Will try again on next trip to area

Love the course. Darkhorse has it all; challenging, stunning views, elevation changes, awesome greens and of course a nice assortment of cocktail options. I was told that they just received their liquor license on April 1st and that a nice bar with a seating and fireplace area are in the works. If you have not been up to the course, I highly recommend that you set up a tee time and enjoy what Darkhorse has to offer. Darkhorse is now my favorite course bar none.

It honestly amazes me that this place is still open. The course is amazing and a great design and in good quality. The employees on the other hand? The most disrespectful and rude individuals I have ever had to converse with. Even just a basic conversation about coming out to play after some rain the guy calls me “dumb” for wanting to golf. Another time I got cussed out and missed my tee time cause I went to practice while they were waiting for carts that they ran out of for a 1:30 tee time, when they told me to and when I would ask they would tell me I’m being impatient. The range rarely has…

I stumbled onto this course searching locally for a golf course to practice while attending business locally through Google maps. (My background ) Marine Combat Wounded Veteran / Golf Academy Alumni - 2018 AA in Business Management with Applied Science in Golf. This course was absolutely amazing from the moment I walked to the pro Shop. Nina ..(hopefully correct Spelling) welcomed me with a warm smile and amazing customer service! I started with a small bucket and was impressed with how well kept the practice area was. It was only my intention to practice but I was hanging around waiting to…

Coming from Reno, we showed up on Saturday February 28th after making what i thought was a 10:20 tee time. unfortunately I didn't finalize the transaction. The guys went above and beyond to make sure my wife and I could get out and play. They started us on the back and were exceptionally nice about fixing my mistake. They could have just said sorry, not our problem, but instead, they were cordial and took great care of us. Course was in good shape and was cart path only after a wet week. Had a really enjoyable round and cant say enough good things about how they managed things. Definitely maki…

Came back to this course after not playing it for 4+ years. I used to love this course but it's in terrible shape! Go check out the recent Yelp reviews. The tee boxes are lumpy and the fairways are mostly burned up. The greens look great from far but are covered with ball marks that look like they're weeks old. The bunker sand is nice but half of them are muddy from too much water. They've gotten rid of the trailer clubhouse and have built a putt putt style check in booth. I paid $80 to play on Sunday morning and felt completely ripped off. The conditions make this course more in the $40 range…

It is an excellent golf course, very well maintained. Everyone is super nice. I have played every course in the area. This is by far the best bang for your buck. One word to describe Darkhorse is Premium.

Best public course in Northern CA! Every hole is unique on this amazing layout. The sand in the bunkers has perfect white sand and are great to play out of. Favorite course!

Darkhorse was amazing. Its like every hole is a signature hole. Its also pretty fair. I played the hole round with one ball...but eat your wheaties before your round. Plenty of long approach shots. Note: bring water. They dont have a fancy clubhouse. Its all about the incredible golf out there.
