Winchester Country Club

Winchester CC is a slice of golf heaven in the foothills just north of Auburn, CA. The golf course is designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. & II. It's a very tough layout and moves naturally along the terrain. It's spectacular and narrow. The clubhouse sits perched above the course and has a good grill. The golf shop staff was really nice, so I dropped some cash in there for a few shirts and some other souvenirs. I loved the entire atmosphere and can't wait to return.

Beautiful course, I was able to play it the day before Thanksgiving this year with my Bro-In-Law and we had a great time!

Oh my goodness, let me tell you about our incredible experience at the country club! We recently had a meeting there and it was absolutely fantastic. The moment we stepped in, we were blown away by the stunning views. I mean, seriously, they were out of this world! And guess what? Course in nice shape, even with our late tee time. Not a course to play when you have a two way miss off of the tee box. No consistency with my driver, lost four balls in the hills or penalty areas. Green undulations can't be seen on your approach shots, so you may end up further away than you think.

Nice country club, course and golf shop. Bar was a bit small but the staff and drinks did not disappoint. Can’t wait to go back.

Just played this course yesterday overall it was pretty nice. Unfortunately, I can’t say live up to the hype. Although the course was overall nice I don’t think I would ever return. For the price I was pretty surprised with how bad of shape some of the greens were.

Played May 22, 2024 with friends, the course is in great shape! Bring your game greens are fast.

Recently attended a large wedding here. Absolutely beautiful venue, wonderful helpful staff.

Enjoyed a small private wedding with friends at the clubhouse. This is a special place. The views and facilities are terrific!

Insanely overpriced for a course that has Tee boxes in worse shape than others half the price. The greens aren't in great shape either. Both the Ridge and Dark Horse are in better shape. Complete lack of water on the course unless you happen to run into the marshal.
