What People Say

In summary

Arlington Greens Golf Club is often praised for its well-maintained course, reasonable pricing, and friendly staff, with particular commendation for the challenging yet enjoyable layout. However, some visitors have noted issues with customer service, particularly with certain staff members, and occasional problems with course conditions such as water retention and unaddressed divots. Additionally, there are occasional complaints about the pace of play and scheduling conflicts during league times.

I have always appreciated having Arlington right here in Granite City but I had a pretty sour experience recently that had nothing to do with the greens. To the owner: When your daughter is working in the clubhouse/ outside socializing with golfers, she really needs to be more aware of her surroundings. It is a small town, and you never know who is sitting nearby listening. Hearing her run her mouth and use constant foul language about people in our community is just bad for business. It makes the environment feel unprofessional and, frankly, a bit uncomfortable for customers who are just th…

Nice course, great staff, especially Josh at the club house. The course is well maintained except for people failing to repair their divots and some water retention issues with heavy rains, which does make the mosquitos quite bad near the trees. I appreciate that there are native plants in groupings (theoretically to try to absorb the water), but they could definitely be increased and more varied.

Fairways and greens are in good shape. It was crowded. Foursomes were moving along steadily but twosomes were probably feeling play was slow.

I genuinely dont think I've ever not enjoyed a round at Arlington. For the price its such a delight. It's not the best conditions ever but certainly not bad enough for you to probably even think about. Layout is fun, holes are gettable, people are nice and most importantly the price is very good. I nearly forgot it's also one of the few stl area courses to have a dedicated short game facility

Visited here with my partner and was discriminated against by one of the cart girls. She proceeded to come and tell us that she received “complaints” about the pace we were playing at but there were clearly a group of people directly in front of us playing as well. Were we supposed to rudely lap the group in front of us??? I’m quite confused why she would take the time to come over to us and tell us to play faster or let the group behind us go in front. It suggests to me that we were being picked on. Racist !!

I love a driving range. Top Golf is normally my go to but today I decided to try something different. Maybe it was the perfect 78° day, maybe it was the new clubs I was trying out, but whatever it was I was completely at peace even while I sliced the ball 100 different ways. The staff was kind and helpful. The price was extremely fair, and I just overall enjoyed my time there. I will be back here.

This is a really nice golf course. They do a great job at keeping the course manicured and the price is great! Easily one of the best golf values in the area!!! The owner is really good about squeezing you in for nine holes before league play if they have it because he just keeps turning people away and I really appreciate that! One time I paid for nine went out in the first couple of holes were just so congested. I went back to the clubhouse and ask for and was granted a rain check! All-around great service at this place! The course itself is challenging, but not too challenging for amateur g…

Played on a very busy Saturday. Staff was friendly, and they were organized well. Pace of play was good for as busy as they were. Course layout was nice, and it was in fairly good condition aside from the sand traps, which retain a ton of water and were not playable at all. My only other real complaint is that the greens were impossibly fast. Putting was extremely challenging and I felt like it robbed me of quite a few strokes.

The course is interesting, the greens are in fantastic shape except for unrepair divots. Seriously people, repair your divots! The course makes you think,"Maybe if I cut this corner, I might be able to shorten this dog leg. The course gives you some risk-reward holes. Let's just say I took some of the risks and paid for it dearly. Also, some players have no business playing from the blue pins. I enjoyed the course very much and will return to play it again. Still need an Arlington Greens ball marker (I collect them from every course I play).

Great staff! Thank you Josh for making it a good experience. Course is in really good shape. They have a lot of afternoon/evening leagues so plan your pace of play accordingly.

The course was in great shape. My two friends and I had a great time. If you play regularly the course may give you a bit of a challenge. If you are a beginner like myself it may be real challenging. One of my friends grew up playing that course. And my other buddy says its his favorite.
