In summary

Grand Marais Golf Course is appreciated for its friendly staff, enjoyable layout, and affordable pricing, making it a popular spot for both casual play and private events. The food and event hosting receive positive remarks, with some noting the quality of the fish dishes. However, there are recurring issues with course maintenance, such as overgrown grass and inadequate cart availability, as well as inconsistent communication about closures, which some visitors find frustrating.

Called and asked if they could accommodate 12 for dinner. bereavement dinner. When we got there. Ordered drinks. Told 20 minutes later the cook is leaving so no food available. The most ridiculous so called customer service I've witnessed. She kept stating she accomodated us???? Just close it. Open til 700 pm but cook leaves at 500pm????

Haven't played Grand Marais in years. Last time I was there they were in the process of bringing it back to life after an ownership change. Not sure if Big Randy is still there but that guy was like a 1 man crew for years. The course has a great layout. Not overly challenging but enough hazards to keep you honest. It's one of my favorite "dogtracks" in the metro area. Don't let the location fool you, this is a nice affordable course. At my last visit someone pulled up with one of the coolest carts I've ever seen (see pic).

Anyone who has been wondering about the status of this golf course it is closed until further notice due to flooding according to the sign on the pro shop door. You think someone at least would have put a website update so people didn't waste their time driving out there like I did

Nice private outdoor event by the lake at the golf club featuring live jazz with BK Jackson on the sax. Plenty of parking & space to socialize and social distance.

Good course but they are not consistent. The website says they are open and you show up and no one is here. It’s frustrating because other courses don’t operate like this. Please update the website when your closed!!!! Professionalism goes a long way.

The course has reopened with new manament that are really trying to make this course great again! It is going to take some time. High water levels have left some areas deep in grass. Expect some areas to be wet and usually more difficult to play. Please support this group of managers. They are invested as they have bought new equipment and have spent money to fertilize the greens sprayed with grab grass killer. hopefully by the fall it will be much much better. Owners are really friendly and personable guys!

This course has its ups and downs. Depending upon weather, the water hazards can be dried up or overflowing the fairways and greens. The last visit they did not have enough carts for people to play the course. I saw several people having to push their cart into the clubhouse as they were inoperable. Fun course to play when it is dry and and in good shape. Pricing is one of the best in the Metro East. Good for a quick game when you are in the area.

I tried to play here today but they had no operable golf carts. This is the 2nd time this has happened in the past 4 weeks. And when you consider it's February and a Monday no less, you have to think this course has a big problem when they can't supply carts when they aren't even busy. Good luck to anyone who tries to play here on a weekend. Be ready to walk.

I went there to pick up a friend while waiting for my friend who I thought was the cook, because she can cook. I ordered a hamburger but not only was she the waitress. The hamburger was pretty hard and dry. I could deal with the none seasoned hamburger seeing that it was a Golf Club where all I saw was guys my age and older and I'm a senior citizen, I would have wanted to be asked how I wanted my hamburger cooked and for this reason I give this establishedment three 🌟and I'm just saying

Visiting my aunt Yvonne and hadn't been here since our 2000 Sykes-O'Flynn family reunion but one thing for sure, the food is still amazing and definitely worth the travel across the miles. Best fried fish ever!
