In summary

Stonewolf Golf Club is frequently praised for its beautiful setting and challenging Jack Nicklaus-designed layout, with many visitors appreciating recent improvements in course conditions. The staff, particularly in the event and pro shop areas, receive high marks for their service, and the clubhouse amenities are well-regarded. However, some guests mention issues with the pace of play and maintenance needs, such as cart path repairs and bunker conditions, as areas for potential improvement.

I remember when this was an awesome course awhile back and for a few years it seemed that it was not being taken care of. I've noticed recently (the past couple of years) it has taken a huge turnaround! It's not perfect but it is obvious they are reinvesting into this course. It's not where it should be yet but if they keep it up I can see this being a very beautiful (still beautiful but rough on the edges) and fun to play course. They changed the holes up from the original and the bunker layout has changed. Some bunkers were let go due to nature being nature. Some water features have been ove…

I had my graduation celebration at Stonewolf Golf Club in December. The Fireside room was absolutely beautiful. Jamie provided exceptional service from the beginning to the day of the celebration. My guests were very impressed.

Pace slow once got to back 9 for weekday that was “wide open”. Screeching halt style. Saw Members jump on course in front of others already playing. Saw them driving around looking for an open hole. Some Will play in 5 some + and not let you thru. Layout was better when was still Nicklaus design with all the bunkers. It has a few interesting holes, but feels more like a neighborhood course now more than a Nicklaus design. Greens soft, but decent and rolled well enough for late summer golf. Lots of ball marks/random chunks missing. Staff, meaning 1 guy in pro shop, was nice and friendly eno…

Pretty nice golf course! Had a blast golfing here until we got rained out. The golf rates are very fair, and the pro shop is nice. I also liked their chip and putt practice green. Do be aware that their fairways are pretty narrow and almost always adjacent to thick forest, so if you have any bit of a slice plan on bringing plenty of extra balls. Their sand traps are very compacted, but I heard they are working on improving those! A few of the greens are fairly beat up too. It’s a steal for the price, just be aware of the drawbacks. I would go back!

Great course with a challenging layout. Greens were a little ragged and but played fair. Would recommend to anyone who likes to think there way around a course.

This Jack Nicklaus course is as good as Ann Briar / Tapawingo / Missouri Bluffs. Bunkers are placed very strategically. Front 9 and back9 holes are swapped on my old GPS watch.

It all started when we walked in—I should’ve known things were off when I went to put mayo on my sandwich and found a lovely patch of mold. I flagged it to the young lady behind the counter, and in a dazzling display of customer service, she handed me a mold-free sandwich like she’d just saved the day. You’d think in this day and age, if one’s moldy, they’d toss the whole batch. Not here. The next person got their own little helping of fungus. Out on the course, all was fine until hole 3, when pace of play hit a wall—like a guy who’s been on a cheese-only diet for two months (which, frankly,…

I played the course today. Have not played it since last year. I thought the course was in really good condition. Greens rolled fantastic. Fairways were in fine shape as well. Sure there are a few rough spots here and there but overall it's in really good shape. Kudos to management for phasing out some of the bunkers. No need for that many especially since high maintenance cost to keep them playable. Challenging layout but a lot of fun to play.

We booked Stonewolf for our wedding, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out! Jamie and Rachael, the on-site event coordinators, were incredibly helpful and attentive throughout the entire process. They provided excellent ideas and were quick to accommodate any last-minute changes, which made the day go smoothly. The venue itself is stunning and offers a wide variety of décor options—taking that stress off our plate was such a relief. We highly recommend Stonewolf for any occasion and can’t thank them enough for making our day so special!

Enjoy playing here. Course was in very good shape and the greens rolled well. They were working on one hole (12 I think) at it was made into a par 3
