In summary

Elmwood Golf Course is appreciated for its affordability, friendly staff, and challenging layout, making it a popular choice for those seeking a casual and budget-friendly golfing experience. The course is noted for its hilly terrain and welcoming atmosphere, with many enjoying the personal touch of the owner, Bill. However, some visitors have criticized the condition of the greens and fairways, describing them as slow and in need of maintenance, and have mentioned the lack of online booking and cash-only policy as potential inconveniences.

1st time playing this course (in town from Texas visiting family) and considering it's late November, it looked good. Greens were in decent shape, grass was about fringe height but well kept. This was a tough course, hilly and blind approach shots so a great challenge even for the low handicaps. This is a low budget 9 hole course so don't expect country club but the price was great for what you get. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a cheaper but challenging option. Met the owner Bill and was nice enough to show me the 1st tee and other info. Will definitely visit again, looki…

Elmwood is a nice little 9-hole golf course. It's first come first served—no booking tee times in advance. Bring cash—they don't accept credit/debit cards. It won't break the bank though—it's less than $20 (including cart). Beware, the greens are mowed long and are very slow.

Excellent time here playing 9 with my 14 yr old son. The owner was amazing and we shared a great conversation. Unbeknownst to me the course is cash only. When I found that out, I told the owner I’ll be right back to run to an ATM. He told me to hell with that get out there and play with your son and pay me later. You don’t find many people like that anymore. I definitely will be back love this little course.

Elmwood is a fun little 9 hole course that will fit the bill if you want something more than a par 3 course for under $20. It is first come first serve with no online booking, and make sure you have your wallet and more that credit cards because when you pay Bill for your round it is cash only. They keep the greens long and slow. You can go around twice if you want to get in a full 18.

Went to Elmwood since noon games were weak. Course is in awful shape. I might as well been putting on carpet. Fairways awful as well as tee boxes. No golf etiquette. There were 2 groups of 6 out there. That will probably be my last time out there. I guess you get what you pay for..

This is a strange course. Only nine holes and they seem to be very proud of it and their rates reflect it, The last time I played there, one hole was unplayable from storm damage from 2 nights earlier, Debris was all over the green with a large branch stuck in the green near the hole. Apparently nobody checked the course the previous day, When I reported it at the end of the round The person at the register didn't apologize or offer a refund or anything to make me want to come back, so needless to say I will never be back.

Great little gem. One of the more challenging 9 hole courses in the area. Bill - the owner is great to talk to. And Brian the groundskeeper keeps the course top notch. Check it out!
