This club is awesome, love the open lap swim, food service, and activities! Night volleyball was a blast, met so many nice people! Thanks for a great time, we always love visiting.

My family and I come to Bald Head Island every year. This year we decided to get the BHI guest membership for a week. We are extremely disappointed. The club was clearly built a while ago, the exterior such as the pool and the roof are aged and grimy. Guests are only allowed in the section with the younger children, which is a small shallow pool. The worst part: the restaurants. Both of our experiences at the Palm and Horizons were horrible. If we had known that the restaurants were so bad, we would have just stayed with Shoals Club. We all got a simple fried seafood basket at Horizons. It wa…

Grandson is learning to play golf, and the instruction provided by the pros here is second to none. Miss Abby, in particular, is excellent with kids. Course in good shape!

A beautiful course to play and enjoy the scenery and views. I had been on a mission to play all of the Myrtle Beach area courses during my many vacations there. I had put off playing Bald Head Island due to the need to take a ferry there. Needless to say, once I finally made the trip it was well worth the extra effort!

Great vibes, great drinks. They were very accommodating for my handicapped mother. She was able to walk into the zero entry pool and do physical therapy. Beautiful pools when they aren't too busy

Edited we are here at Horizons amazing food and service..more casual and one on one service seems great...5 stars for them. Bald head island club -Food is ok ..high end but prepared off season to number of customers. Off season good service has always been slow and bad cause they get 20 percent tip no matter what. Inside is high end reserved. Used to love the peli, horizons was delayed but we will catch it in September...to try all the new amenities. HORIZONS IS AWESOME. UPDATED

Update - 03-2021 This entire Island, the tennis, pickle ball, golf and restaurants have been exceptional since I wrote my review 2 years ago. Everyone goes out of their way to assist and help and make sure you are having a good time. Oliver in the golf pro shop is awesome. The rest of the island is fantastic ==================================== This is a rating thats a combined rating for tennis, golf and the club NOT Bald Head Island as a whole. Weve been coming here for 20 years and Bald Head Island is an amazing and unique gem. The golf course is a fun and challenging course and in exce…

First time on the island and our lodging included membership. We first went to Horizons for lunch. It was 100pm and no one was eating so we were seated quickly, very nice young man was the hostess. Waitress came over soon and she was very friendly as well. We were seated close to the Coffee Stand. The blond haired girl that was working there started arguing with coworker , I looked up to see what the commotion was about and she is staring at me with attitude and continued on. I found her to be extremely rude and unprofessional. I ordered pizza and it was delicious. My husband had meatloaf sand…

Beautiful place. Lots of things to do. I was there working so I'm going to have to go back and stay. The ferry ride was not too long. It's $23 for adults $12 for children round trip. There are no cars on the island so you can take a bike or rent a golf cart while you're there but before warned that the golf carts are $99 a day. If you take your bikes you can actually use a trim to get to your property you're renting so you don't have to carry your luggage and everything.

The majority of visitors are here for vacation, usually in one of the privately-owned vacation rentals. Many are here for the beaches; Bald Head Island boasts 14 miles of beaches, which I’ll bet is pretty much the circumference of the island! Then there’s Bald Head Lighthouse, the oldest one still standing in North Carolina. You may recognize it from the movie Weekend at Bernie’s. A visit to the Smith Island (the island’s original name) Museum will fill you in on the history of the island, dating back to the Revolutionary War. Some, like me, are here for the golf course at the Bald Head Islan…
