My husband and I golfed 18 while enjoying our honeymoon. The course was challenging and kept in great shape. Beautiful views. The staff was friendly and helpful in every way. We finished our round 15 minutes after the pro shop closed. Marisa, the manager, was leaving for the evening and was kind enough to let us purchase a souvenir to remember our a fantastic round from our honeymoon. She truly went above and beyond for us. Next time we are in NC, we will definitely be back to Lockwood Folly Country Club.

Course is not in good condition. Thin fairways, greens with fungus and uneven collars. Bare areas that make chipping and pitching very dicey. It charged a premium price for a substandard course even taking the time of year into consideration. Will not be going back. Restaurant was nice with good food. Nice views from patio.

This is a great course with friendly staff. Very challenging but very reward able if you get it in the right spot. The fairways and greens were perfect. Tee boxes we decent not enough to really complain about. I will definitely play here again if not again this week while I’m down!

I live few miles away, haven't played a round but was thinking about trying but after reading the comments it sounds challenging course because of maintenance isn't being done and some people are rude and it's way over priced. Guess I'll start on driving range lol

Amazing value. Course in great shape. It’s a risk/reward course management challenge. The folks who work there are top notch; amazing, above and beyond customer service.

Have played this course two times. It’s a nice, well manicured course. Typical country club vibe (stuffy). Pro staff was fair. Wait staff/bar was down to one who did everything (bless her!). Ranger was very uptight.

Starter (old man with raggly unwashed white hair) thinks he runs the show. 2nd time in a year he’s moved my tee time without asking. Today, he physically took my bag from me to try and switch my cart (no reason) and then put his hands on me and threw my shoes at me when I told him I was going to get a refund and play elsewhere. Played here 2 days ago and had no issues with the starter that day. Not to mention the round took 6 hours. For the money, it isn’t worth it when you can play much nicer courses for the same price in the area. After the disrespect I received, I will not be returning.

I played 9 holes here with my father and law, and my wife and 3yr old son rode along. We played on a weekday afternoon, right after labor day. The course was in great condition and it was not too busy at all. The proshop staff was very friendly and we had a wonderful 9 holes. We'll definitely be back soon.

Nice course. It was challenging. A few of the greens are under repair. Fairways where in good shape. Some of the tee boxes is hard to find a level spot. I do recommend this course. Play was slow. Staff was friendly. One downfall is no club house when making the turn. One of the best views was after the 18th green. The course does have gators. 10/31/20

The course is in very good shape, and the maintenance is ongoing. A few of the greens are a little rough, but most are very well attended to. The staff from the backdrop, proshop, to the bar are always so gracious and Impersonable.
