In summary

Rivers Edge Golf Club is highly praised for its scenic Arnold Palmer-designed layout, well-maintained course conditions, and friendly, accommodating staff. The course offers challenging holes with picturesque views of the Shallotte River, making it a favorite among visitors. While a few players mentioned the greens being slow or tee boxes dry, these minor issues did not detract from the overall positive experience and value for money.

Super scenic Arnold Palmer designed course that is wonderfully maintained. Greens were fast, tee boxes were beautifully maintained and the staff were polite and friendly from pro shop to ranger to bag drop and extremely helpful for me being a first time visitor. It was cart paths only and closed range due to the weather but was not a problem because of the excess of precipitation. Cart paths themselves were very smooth and the views of the river were extraordinary. Lots of water hazards and challenging layout, but beautiful nonetheless. Absolutely worth the competitive cost!

Really nice course and well taken care of. The personnel at the bag drop were super nice and informative. Hole 9, “Arnies Revenge” is a great hole and it’s tricky. If you burst you get a beer and poker chip which is nice. Overall really nice and will be back

First time playing this past Saturday - with a couple of good friends - we are locals. What a great find! First the staff - very nice & welcoming - really exceptional! That means alot to me - since some courses dont seem to like locals...lol! Second, the course and clubhouse - VERY nice - fun - very scenic and well maintained! We played in late December! Lastly - value : with a locals card, we paid $ 40.00 - VERY reasonable! Oh, cart lady/girl was very nice - stopped by like 4 times - sometimes these little things mean alot! Definitely worth the trip from Myrtle Beach to Shallotte - highly rec…

This is easily one of the nicest courses I have ever played! Such a unique experience along the river with very challenging holes. We didn't get to finish the round but enjoyed what we were able to play! Definitely take the time to go check this track out, you won't be disappointed.

Without a doubt My favorite course I've played in the Myrtle Beach area! I have now been on three trips, played about 15 courses in area and I have to say this was my favorite! What an absolute gem from Arnold Palmer! The view from the clubhouse is literally unparalleled of the shallotte River. The clubhouse itself was really nice as was the pro shop great merchandise selections, courteous staff, and very good food! The course was very challenging. however, I had my best round of 77 this past trip. the conditions were excellent , the views were mind-boggling and the the course layout and desig…

Tonya Decker and Dan Miller were absolutely outstanding and went above and beyond with great customer service and helping us. They let my uncle and I shop in the pot shop even through it was close for the night due to me not being from North Carolina. Thank you very much the course was amazing. I will definitely come back when I’m in town!

Very nice golf course! Our group thoroughly enjoyed it. Great, fun layout. Conditions very nice for this time of year. Greens a little slow but look nice. Make sure you've got extra balls...you can lose some here. Even got to see a ton of baby gators enjoying the sun. Extremely scenic course also on the river. Price was outstanding considering what courses closer to MB are charging. Would highly recommend. .

Beautiful course...very challenging. There is plenty of ways to lose your ball on this course that is appropriately named...rivers edge. Requires a bit of accuracy. Tee boxes were a little dry, but greens and fairways were in great shape. Not bad price for the quality of course. Very cool with lots of water, pines and great views. Would definitely recommend playing if you are in the area.

My husband and I played River’s Edge last week on vacation and it was beautiful! One of the nicest courses we’ve played and our first trip to NC. It did not disappoint. All staff we interacted with were wonderful and the facilities and grounds were top notch.

This is a beautiful course. It's in a nice area, the views of Shallote river. I'm not going to lie, this course can be quite mean to you. They have a couple of holes that definitely will challenge your skills. If you are lucky you are able to see the wild animals and it's quite peaceful to play there. Friendly neighbourhood and very helpful staff. I'll definitely be back! Highly Recommend it 🔥🔥🔥

Challenging picturesque course. Beautiful scenery with an accommodating staff. Reasonably priced Arnold Palmer course.Arnies revenge (#9) is something else. Lots of blind tee shots.

This was my second time playing this course in a number of years and it still is an amazing course. Pros: Friendly staff. Great layout with some of the best views around. Course condition was good with the over seeding. The greens were in good shape but soft. The turf must have very shallow roots because when you go to repair a ball mark, the ground just broke up around the ball tool. Cons: Only one that stood out was the par three along the road where you have to hit off artificial mats. All in all, one of the best courses in that area.
