In summary

Belvedere Golf Club is celebrated for its rich history, well-maintained course, and challenging layout, appealing particularly to golf purists and those who appreciate traditional golfing experiences. The staff is generally praised for their friendliness and helpfulness, though some visitors have expressed dissatisfaction with the treatment of non-members and the lack of amenities such as food and beverages, noting the course's location in a dry county. While the course's historical significance and condition are highly regarded, some feel the pricing does not reflect the overall experience, especially considering the limited amenities and occasional issues with pace of play enforcement.

Golf History! Must see and play!! Modern day golf we love and know today, has influence from Belevedere Golf Club. The course is challenging and fun. There is an aurora of the legends who and still do play here. Course is in great condition considering the wet spring northern Michigan has had. There are signs of the spring still on the course but the overall play is not hindered. Greens are gorgeous and the property is maintained well. Shout out to the grounds crew, clubhouse staff. Everyone working had smiles and help with any of my questions.

Beautiful course with tons of history. It was like going back in time. So many greats have played this course with very little change over the years. What makes this great is it is a private course with members but they allow the public to visit as well keeping the course in immaculate shape. Yes you will not find alcohol or ball washers and you will find dirt cart paths and hickory flag sticks which golf ball wacker guys probably won't appreciate. These same golfers probably won't appreciate the rangers keeping the pace going for those who aren't at the course for Fireball shots and to harass…

Love the history behind this course - feels special when you’re out there. Few amenities, but that’s fine. Really enjoyed this course. Greens and fairway in great condition. Friendly staff and they let us out early to play as a twosome instead of pairing us up. Really appreciate when they can make that happen as I know it’s not always possible. Would love to play again!

A place for true golfers. It is a great old style course. A nice layout that has some great views and elevation changes. Course is fair but challenging. Recommend walking it to get the full experience. Greens are very difficult, lots of undulation and tough to read. The only complaint is the pro shop is a bit small and food options are limited so be prepared to bring some of your own snacks and drinks.

We went to this course expecting to argue with the ranger that’s been mentioned in every other review. Happy to say we did not have the same experience. I forgot my golf shoes and right away one of the cart boys, Harrison, let me borrow his. Mary Jo’s chicken sandwich at the turn was hands down the best I’ve ever had. Overall, great staff, beautiful course and a great time.

One of the oldest courses in MI and a favorite of Tom Watson. Great condition and superb greens with lots of undulation. A no frills spot but very enjoyable.

The Belvedere Golf Club is a place for serious golfers, who want to take part in a traditional golf experience, not a John Daly one. Tee boxes were immaculate and the overall course was beautiful. It was very evident that they take pride in the greens and fairways. Front 9 isn’t especially difficult but challenging with hidden creeks crossed by well maintained water bridges. The back 9 will give you the rolling hills of Ireland feel while remaining open with many elevation changes. An opportunity with par 5’s to make up a few bogies. Be mindful that guest parking is across the street from…

Amazing greens. Dirt paths. But after paying $175 to golf with a cart, we were asked by the starter to delay our start to allow a member threesome to play through who started on the back 9. Then, the ranger was pushing us from the beginning to be at a 4 hr pace. Then, with two holes to go, the ranger lied to us saying the phone was ringing off the hook with complaints that we were causing slow play for groups behind us. In reality, the group behind us was our other foursome who never had anyone pushing behind them. The ranger also accused us of being 30 minutes off pace. After our 30 minute de…
