Chanticlair Golf Course

I play here weekly with friends. It’s a 9 hole course with a very interesting layout. The guys who own and run the place are very friendly. It is quite economical, the least expensive course of its type around. I’d be willing to pay a bit more for a round should they decide to improve the course by adding ball washers on each hole, repairing the cart paths etc. There’s even an island green where, the other day, I shot my first hole in one in 50 yrs of playing this game on and off. So, Chanticlair will always be well remembered!

First time playing at Chanticlair yesterday, and can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised by the experience as a whole. Other than a few (very) bald tee-boxes, the course is in very good condition! On-course amenities: 8.5/10 — There are plenty of trash bins scattered around for easy and convenient trash disposal, as well as ball washing stations. The carts come equipped with divot-filler canisters, which I haven’t seen very often on CT courses.. but ours were empty. Very disappointed with this course, started on hole 3 was not informed so the scorecard was pretty confusing, was told cart path only, but there’s like no cart paths, pretty confusing, was not told about this one part of the course was closed, one of the rangers who was off duty playing in front of us started screaming at us, yelling in the background that our simple mistake ruined his golf game? Screamed at us multiple times, didn’t see the 1ft sign towards the end of the hole, there should be a sign on the tee box ( which every tee box was destroyed and uneven). Courses in pretty good shape. They're making some improvements. It's been a little wet lately so makeshift cart path only. Some of the greens are a bit rough but overall nice place to play.

9 hole course and reasonable value for money. Some fun holes, particularly #4 (tricky and pretty par 3). I liked that the holes were different and there were very few back and forth holes. Signage is non existent and course condition is not great, and look out for the mosquitoes!! I would go back if in the area again.

Can't drive carts on the fairway and lose many balls in the first cut. Always super slow pace. Otherwise it is a fun little course when it's empty.

Worse place to golf if u want to use a cart. They do not tell u there rules they will lie after words they did. They follow u around Harassing u about where u drive and tell u they are watching u. U need to give them ur license and phone number as well. I am older average golfer dress nice and treat every course diligently. If u want to play this course. JUST WALK. Not worth the hassle because they will ruin ur experience!!!

I was very disappointed with my round of golf here. My group of 3 played 18 holes on a Saturday morning. We started hole 1 and then immediately had 3 more large groups right behind us. Because of the log jam created by poor tee time management complaints were made claiming my 3-some was going too slow - we had only just completed the first hole, not nearly enough time to create some space for all the groups to space themselves out. Always a fun time at this 9 hole course! With playable fairways, it's a great place for any experience level

You get what you pay for. A really cute hole in the wall 9 of a course. T-boxes are getting bad tho. Early may they were good now they are smashed to hell. Staff is really nice tho and the fourth hole is a really fun one. Great place to go for a quick 9 with buddies. Took one star off cause the t-boxes and fairways are showing wear and tare rather quickly. Will update if they get on top of it.

The course itself is nice. In great shape but their cart paths are in need of some TLC. Lots of ruts, rocks and roots to push my walking cart over. The parking lot could use a resurface too. It's a fun course to play though!

The greens are nice. Very relaxing tempo. You don't have to be a serious golfer to enjoy this place. Just don't throw your cigarette butts in the flowers. The guy who manages the place clean them up by hand. There's no food there so don't plan on having lunch here.
