In summary

Charwood Country Club is praised for its friendly and helpful staff, reasonable pricing, and a challenging course layout that offers a good mix of holes. Many appreciate the course's overall condition, although some note that the greens can be inconsistent and in need of maintenance. While the atmosphere is generally laid-back and welcoming, there are occasional concerns about slow pace of play and the proximity of residential homes to the course.

Charwood is a unique course. There's a lot of sand, making it a lot different from most of the courses I've played. The course is lined with residential houses, which, combined with the sand, makes it one of the least aesthetically pleasing golf courses I've seen. There's also a couple of holes that look like they were added at the last minute and are not very well-designed. The worst thing about Charwood however, is that the members are very entitled. Two out of the three (2/3) times I've played there, members have just jumped on a tee right before my tee time, causing an obvious delay. I und…

Decent condition course. Could be better. Greens are tough which I enjoy. Most of the staff is nice. Good value with an actually interesting layout. Staff handles opinions well.

Disappointed in greens. Just painted and in rough condition. We should have gotten a discount I feel. Only acceptable green was number 18. The course has some good holes and can play from various tees. Needs to have some real good maintenance done.

This course is in great shape, the greens rolled true and very fast. They are always very friendly and informative in the clubhouse, and booking a tee time was clear and simple. One of the most economical courses in my area. Two thumbs up!! 👍👍

I played my first real game of golf and had a blast. The fees are reasonable, and the course was nicely challenging and fun. Some of the greens were a little rough, but it's obvious that you can see they are trying to keep everything up to par. Nice atmosphere at clubhouse and pro shop. I'm giving 5 stars because they were reasonably priced greens fees for a challenging course in the area that a regular kind of guy can afford with this economy.

Went there with a buddy of mine: it’s within a community, there are houses on the greens. I told my friend let’s go else where and sure enough he hit somebody house. I would recommend Par Tee Golf it’s a true golf course. This was a weird experience, the club house is old and again it’s within people backyards. Take the risk of you want!

Charwood golf course is organized, challenging and fun to play. It is a good mix of hard and easier holes with decently maintained greens, fairways and tee boxes.

Pretty awful in every way! Do not recommend! Bad greens! Bad patchy fairways with sand all over, but not in the usually sand trap design. The cart paths are so nasty you feel like you're getting whiplash driving a cart on them. Its a disaster!

Nice course with a really good layout. Not a lot of water hazards and the fairways were in good condition. The greens were in pretty rough shape but they acknowledged this when we were checking in (and one of the greens had been vandalized but they were working to fix it). All in all a really nice place to play

Staff was really nice but I couldn’t get a refund on 9 holes walking… somehow they price walking 9 and 18 the same. So many foursomes in front of me and was super slow and half the course is just sand

Played there Saturday 7/26 and the course was in good condition. I heard mixed reviews but when we got out there it was a good track. The first 6 holes or so were very very slow; waited about 10 minutes per shot. Eventually the pace picked up but front nine was slow. The fairways were in good condition, very narrow fairways which was fun and challenging. Cart girl was active all day so that was nice to buy beverages. Overall, I would go again. Great course.
