We go here for Thanksgiving every year. Always extremely pleasant staff. The grounds are beautiful, with large oaks surrounding the main building. We like to get a family picture with the large deer statue every year. The food is magnificent. Hand carved turkey, ham and some years roast beef or lamb. The desserts are fantastic as well. They'll have your traditional fare, like pumpkin and apple pie, as well as cheesecake and carrot cake. Just wonderful! Is a bit on the pricey side, if you're comparing it to other sit down restaurants. But if you're looking for great food in a nice environmen…

Not the best golf course in the area but it is still pretty good. Greens and Tee Boxes are maintained well but the fairways can be patchy in spots. Still a good course!

A very pleasant round in the Country. The staff are always polite and professional. The course is in great shape with nice tee blocks and challenging but far greens. Looking forward to getting there again soon. Thanks for the great time!

My wife and I were married November 2015 in Iowa and had the reception at Deer Valley Country Club. We live in the southern suburbs of Chicago and my wife is detail orientated and she wanted everything to flow well on our wedding day. Working with Martha was great she responded quickly to emails and phone calls. Smooth process and everyone enjoyed the evening. We are very happy we chose Deer Valley and highly recommend the facility for their delicious food and fabulous staff. A + for Martha.

This is a well maintained course. Challenging but not overly difficult. Staff has always been friendly. Rates are fair. Nice cook out for lunch on weekends. Worth the drive.

I can not believe they would serve food that horrendous. Prime rib was so nasty . Nothing but viens ,grissel and fat that tasted like an old refrigerator. Out of the 4 people that I know having prime rib all said the same thing . We didn't complain because we were guest of a first communion celebration luncheon and didn't want to make a scene during that. But my God people need to know not to eat that horshir food . Shame on a cook ( I know it wasn't a chef) that would serve that .

Was here for a wedding last weekend of which I was the best man, here is the exact run down of everything that was right and wrong. First off the place is very pretty and the gazebo looked gorgeous for the wedding. The downstairs bar staff 2 young woman and a young man very nice helpful and the drinks were a bit expensive but were reasonable and good. Thats where anything good ended, first off the woman running the wedding was named Martha and she was an unbelievably terrible hostess. She was rude to the bride, groom, parents of both, to me and to top it off the grandparents of the bride and g…
