Been golfing for 40 years. This was the worst experience of my life. Took our 13 year old son on his birthday. Played best bsll so no one was in front of us. Cart ranger came 7 times asking us to let people in front of us. My child’s cart got hit by a golf ball. Bounced off and allmost hit my wife in the face. I had words with the idiot that hit a ball 80 yards behind us. Could have hurt my children. We left after 9 holes even though I payed for 18 and played 9 at another course. I will never play there again and neither will anyone that I know

Great course for the money. Being surrounded by expensive courses where I live, it was great to get away and spend some time on this course. It was $20 for the cart and 18 holes. I had a blast with my friends and will definitely be going back. Some parts of the fairways were under repair, but it was towards the end of the season, so it's to be expected. The greens don't seem to play as they read, and they're all extremely fast. That being said, we had a great time and ai will happily be back. My apologies go out to the tree branch that did not see it coming...

Super nice facilities! Challenging layout. Well maintained. Incredible value!!! Seriously! I am not sure how they can offer the pricing they do ($12 for 9 and $17 for 18 walking when we played in August of 2018) and maintain the course as beautifully as they do. (I am not a relative of the owner or an employee - I am really telling the truth). My brother spoke with one of the owner's and he said that she mentioned something about being subsidized by the public parks - so, maybe that is the secret. Anyway, it was probably the only time I will ever find myself in that part of Illinois - so I'm g…

Budget-friendly, nicely equipped, and no complaints. (I'm from Boston, where a tee time for a course like this is $100+) - if there was anything to note, I'd just wish for more dogleg or obtuse holes.

Great price! Only played the front and the course was in good shape. Tee boxes and greens were well maintained. Open fairways and few hazardous, great course to play if you’re new to the game.

We had a 7:45 & 7:52 tee time on Saturday 8/24/19 . We got there around 7:33 only to see about 10 to 14 carts on hole number 1??? We went and asked what was going on? And we were told just get in line and wait... We then complained more and got ahead of some of the crowd ( Rude Crowd ) Finally got to go off around 8:15. While we were heckled for jumping in line??? We have played here many times every year and is a good value and nice course . However the management and local people are really hurting our opinion of this course! I hope the Saturday morning group that plays there can keep the bu…

If I could rate Emerald Hill a 0, I would. The staff were rude to us as soon as we walked in. They ignored us and looked us up and down for wearing jeans and t shirts. The bar was also closed even though it said it was open 11-3. Our tee-time was 1:20 and we showed up on time (even early) and there was a group of two four-somes that were late for their tee time so the staff told us to just go. the people then showed up and BUDGED US. Normally I wouldn't knock the establishment for that garbage maneuver expect in this case, the manager of the course whom we had just spoken to was one of the pe…

Very nice for a park district course but someone needs to advise the maintenance department that the golfers are why they are there! I have played many golf courses and never had mowers follow me through the course or mow right up to me when I was chipping onto the green .
