Timber Creek Golf in Dixon, Illinois, is appreciated for its challenging layout, beautiful setting, and friendly staff, with many visitors enjoying the well-maintained greens and fairways. The course's amenities, including the on-site restaurant Bogey's, receive positive feedback for their quality and service. Timber Creek Golf Course is located in Dixon, Illinois. It is an 18 hole golf course located in an urban area. The course is lined with trees, and the undulating fairways make it challenging. The fairways are in perfect condition, and on several holes there are doglegs that can be intimidating, but playable. The greens are in great shape and well kept. Bogey’s is the course bar, where beverages and food can be purchased. I highly recommend this course for the beauty of the layout, and the challenge of play.

Just not a good course, the tee boxes are cut the same as the rough, theres bunkers that haven’t been filled up but have grass growing out of them, the greens are in rough shape, and on top of it all there’s basically no fairways, it’s all cut the same essentially. It’s new owners, so I’ll come back in 2 years after they’ve had a chance to get this sorted out and handled, but I’m done with it for the rest of the year.

My friends and I played this course for the first time yesterday. What a surprise! Knowing this course is on a rebuild, I would say they are ahead of schedule. And looking forward to the work that is ahead of them. The greens were fantastic! Fast, and undulating. There are know flat putts. Be prepared. Fairways are full, the rough isn't extreme. Navigation of the course can be difficult for the first time player. The local players are more than willing to help. We come north once a year to play. Timber Creek will definitely be a stop. Timber Creek established 1915. Here's to another 110 years.

I have played this track many many times in my lifetime, both when it was a private course and after it was sold. After it was sold the course was well maintained but the owner didn't play golf so he didn't know the ins and outs of course maintenance. He then closed the course for about 2 years and let the fairways and greens go untouched. Unfortunately this was disastrous. The fairways, greens and traps were all in horrible shape and for a while after opening the course condition reflected the neglect. BUT, things have changed! The greens and fairways are in excellent condition. They are once…

GREAT course. Definitely hard to navigate at times. Staff is fantastic, prices are CHEAP (I'm from Boston, this would be a $120 tee time here) We played this course twice just because it was our local favorite for the weekend.

Great greens, well manicured, and very true reads. Friendly staff...found course overall in pretty good shape, rough was a little light in some place...some surprising elevation changes...enjoyable round...

We absolutely love Timber Creek. The restaurant “Bogeys” is a wonderful setting inside and out. We have NEVER had a bad meal there and I honestly don’t know how they do that with the menu diversity available. The bar and staff are great and we enjoy playing the course and sitting outside enjoying the beautiful sunsets, animals or other scenery.

This course is absolutely awful . Don’t waste your money. Emerald hill is 15 min away and is in PGA tour condition . To start - I got there for my tee time. They were clearly unorganized and there was a lot Going on. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. After waiting 30+ minutes for my cart (after my tee time passed) I asked the gentleman which seemed to be the owner if I’d get the next cart and he immediately got extremely rude with me and literally said “we can’t invent carts, you’ll get one when you get one”… when all I asked is if the next one that comes in would be mine . He actually fi…
