What People Say

In summary

Four Winds Golf Course is appreciated for its fun and exciting layout, reasonable pricing, and family-friendly atmosphere. However, many visitors express concerns about the poor condition of the greens and fairways, as well as the overall maintenance of the course and campground facilities. While some enjoy the community feel and amenities like the restaurant, others highlight issues with cleanliness and outdated infrastructure.

Beware this is not a campground resort! One star is to many! It is a very run down trailer park! Maybe 12 sites with hookups and only 6 with sewer. Tent sites infested with red ants, bathhouse is half mile from tent sites and totally disgusting. Their web site pictures were very carefully taken. Boat launch is a muddy 4x4 trail. Garbage everywhere abandoned cars and boats litter the place. Permanent trailer sites over grown, make shift additions and roofs caving in on many. 12’x12’ Guard shack is also the camp store nothing more than toothpaste and soda.PLEASE PICK A DIFFERENT CAMPGROUND!!!

Greens in horrible shape. So many horse flies, couldn’t golf at all after paying greens fee. No refund available either. Do not recommend.

Four Winds has struggled for years, especially with respect to its greens. A group of us went out to play earlier today, and the same applies. All greens for the 18 holes were temporary, and they are still struggling to regrow the former greens. If you're looking for an inexpensive round ($25 for 18 with a cart), where you're practicing tee shots and irons, then this is a good track. If you're looking for manicured tee boxes, fairways, and greens, then stay away. I hope they can make a comeback because the layout is not bad, but I'm not holding my breath. I'll be back at least one more time be…

If you are looking for lush manicured greens and three cuts of rough look elsewhere. What this course does offer is the perfect maintenance round, in a fun and exciting layout. Looking forward to your greens next year!!

I do not recommend four winds for anything. Not camping, not golfing and not for extended stay or living because you can live there. If you have to use the bath house be sure to bring everything you will need from toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap to wash your hands. These items are not provided because the live in people constantly steal them so four winds campground will no longer provide them. So even if you are there for a weekend stay I recommend you completely lock down everything you own. If you are thinking about buying in four winds I recommend you don’t. They have no set rules. W…

Four Winds Campground is a family friendly atmosphere for all to enjoy. We have fun fishing and meeting new people. I would recommend everyone to give it a chance. There are not alot of Campgrounds out there that you own your own lot. A Campground is what you make it to be for a getaway for yourself, your family and your friends.

Greens are non existant. I played 9 holes and didnt need a putter. Would have been pointless. Fairways are ok, teeboxes were rough. Course needs ALOT of work before I play here again. BUT, its not very busy, so if you dont mind not putting, its good to get out and smack a few.

Security is pretty cool and we had some fun here but there is a lot of work that needs to be done in this campgrounds and club. I highly recommend the restaurant for food and entertainment. Looking to sell. Can no longer afford to pay dues that seem to constantly go up even after you pay on them.

Terrible course. Been going here for a couple years and it continues to decline. The greens barely exist at this point. Just weeds and grass.

The fairways are in ok shape but the greens are just simply unplayable. $35 is just to high for what you get. It’s difficult to differentiate the fairway to the greens. To play this coarse, hit it to the greens, pick it up and mark it a 2 putt and move to the next hole.

It was an awful course. The greens are covered in grass. The fairway is over grown, you can’t even hit a wood. The tee box’s are also overgrown. And you can’t find any balls because it’s all over grown.

EXTREMELY POOR SHAPE.! A shame. I've played it for years and it ain't no championship course. Enjoyable and reasonable costs. Restaurant & hospitality is great. They have let the greatest asset they have, the course, go th the dogs. It's a shame.
