In summary

Hermann Park Golf Course is appreciated for its well-maintained layout, scenic setting, and friendly staff, making it a favored spot for both golfers and runners. The course offers a mix of challenges with water hazards and narrow fairways, catering to a range of skill levels, and the driving range and other amenities add to the overall experience. However, some visitors mention occasional issues with course congestion, parking difficulties, and the condition of certain greens and fairways.

Excellent spot for runners. The trail is well maintained, scenic, and easy to follow. One full lap comes out to about 2.4 miles, which makes it perfect for tracking distance without constantly checking your watch. Great mix of shade and open space, and the atmosphere is always motivating with other runners and walkers around. One of the best running spots in Houston. 🏃‍♂️🌳

Two amazing par 3 holes. We squeezed in 9 holes before heading to the airport, and it was a fun, memorable round. Some areas of the greens were saturated, so my shoes definitely got a little damp. Even though I lost about four balls on hole 5, the highlight was watching a squirrel literally push my ball into the water, which was surprisingly delightful and hilarious. People walking the trails around the park stopped to watch our tee shots, and I thought that was really cool and added to the vibe. Pro tip: get the turkey sandwich at the pro shop

Shoutout to the marshal, Doss, who was very helpful and kind on a super slow day. He helped us get in as many golf holes as we could. He recommended some additional courses we will check out. This was very uplifting and much needed. - Matt Bown

Service was mid, course was good enough for price. 100% DO NOT recommend rental clubs not worth $25. If you're looking for something budget friendly then and relatively easy course then this is a great option

First time playing. Nice layout but there are some quirky holes. Greens were rolling pretty good. 17th hole green was not very good. Tee boxes were very spotty also fairways needed help. Course is very loud with a lot of people and car traffic. Would definitely play again. I just try to give a fair assessment of the playing condition. Staff very friendly.

Easy online booking. The course was generally in good condition. The course isn't the longest and has its own challenges. The fairways and greens were in good condition, there were some water ponds due to some recent rains. I enjoyed walking through the 18 holes.

We played here with my Houston Intermediate players Golf Meet-up group on 1-8. While being a shorter course, (not an executive course) it was quite difficult with the water and bunker hazards. The course was in decent shape, and well maintained. Bunker sand was fluffy. The staff was quite pleasant. While a bit pricy, their driving range facility was also very nice and well maintained.

Good course right in the middle of Houston. Can't beat the quick drive there. Parking was tricky, but the check-in process was easy. The starter corrected the group of 4 beginners in front of us playing off the blues and told them to play from the whites or even the reds. However, they went right back to the blue once they got to hole #2. The marshall never checked on us or them the entire 18 holes, so we spent quite a bit of time waiting on these 4 guys who never offered to let us play through. Food/drink cart was great! Nice cold beers 🍻

I love my local municipal course! The management and staff do an excellent job of maintaining the track and making you feel welcome. Not the longest course and it can get congested during peak times since the course welcomes a wide variety of skilled players

A Great place to play, or to learn the game and get your swing on.

My favorite golf course in Houston! Staff is always friendly and while the range is a little crowded on Saturdays due to lessons, it’s a great atmosphere.
