In summary

Hunters Ridge Golf Course is frequently praised for its excellent layout, well-maintained conditions, and friendly staff, with many visitors enjoying the amenities such as the driving range and clubhouse. However, there are recurring criticisms regarding the behavior of the course ranger, with several guests feeling rushed and unwelcome due to the emphasis on maintaining a fast pace of play. The course's overall value and management have also been questioned by some, suggesting room for improvement in customer experience.

Excellent layout, course is in solid shape. Not crowded, able to play 18 holes on a Saturday afternoon in 3 hours. The back nine is challenging, will toughen up as the season progresses and the rough thickens.

Course is generally normally in decent condition but holy cow is it rough. Tee boxes covered in weeds, grass as long as a tee, greens that are already baked out in multiple areas. Most of the greens were rock solid to the point of being unreceptive.

Beautiful course! But felt extremely rushed with the ranger watching us golf.. HE drive up to us and told us that there were 3 holes open ahead of us and that we needed to pick up our pace. I am a novice golfer and didn't think going fast was part of the game. If I saw people behind me waiting, I would have offered to let them play through, but. didn't see anyone behind me either so no clue. Also, booked a tee time for me and a friend and was told at the desk we had an individual player joining us. Again, I am a novice player and would rather play with people I knew to get more comfortable wit…

I will not be returning to this course. The course itself and great but our group was clearly singled out by the Ranger (who has a reputation for this) because we were under 60y/o…even though we finished our round in just 4hrs10mins, which is well within a respectable pace. He trailed us for three consecutive holes and only backed off after a direct confrontation. That kind of harassment is unacceptable and ruins the experience, and I’ll be pushing for future regular and charity outings I’m involved with to be moved to other courses.

Drove down from Minnesota and really enjoyed the course. Friendly staff and course was in great shape for March. Look forward to regular early Spring golf trips here.

Had a great time this morning. Play was pretty steady and everyone who was working was super pleasant. Rangers were friendly and the golf course was in good shape considering all the recent rain. Will definitely be back!

Management only cares about the club house looking good because this golf course could be so much better with care and daily attention/management. Will not improve until they get new ownership.

Course was in okay condition but greens were relatively poor. Flew 1000 miles to have course staff tell us we were shooting a terrible round and we needed to hurry up. We played a sub-4 hour round with a Course Rangerconstantly hovering and monitoring, while acting like we were slow. Would be happy to play elsewhere after being treated this way. Never felt rushed to play a round of golf more than this.

Time keeper was very pushy with pace of play. Had told our group of 4 that we were “messing up the flow but to keep having fun” then on the back nine made our group skip a hole in which we were then stuck behind another pair. Staff was very unprofessional and made us feel unwelcome. If there are rules or regulations they should be clear so a group of 4 sub-par golfers don’t get an 8am tee time on a Saturday not knowing what to expect.

I was planning to let the situation go but after seeing how many people have had the same experience, would like to echo what others have said. The course is in great shape and a good value for the price. The ranger, on the other hand, is an issue and appears to have been for years now. We played our round in 3 hours and 50 minutes this weekend and were still scolded and told to speed up. We tried to explain to him that the group ahead of us pulled off at their house on the 9th hole to grab food and jumped in between us and the group behind us, which made it appear backed up. We never had gro…

Place has an amazing driving range and a nice hangout lounge, also has a neat sand pit and putting area. Also there are golf carts to use and tokens, for golf balls, are really easy to get. Staff is amazing with help and getting fountain drinks. I always come here and it never gets old.
