The course is really pretty and well maintained, so props for that. But it’s not beginner friendly. We were moving fast, waiting for the group ahead, teeing off right after, not messing around. Still, on the first hole, a staff member told us to hurry up or let the next group through. Even though the group behind us said they didn’t mind waiting. It just felt like we got judged way too quickly. We ended up enjoying the round and everything was smooth after that. But that first interaction left a bad impression. If you’re newer to golf and just trying to have a chill round, this place might n…

Poorly kept course most of the greens were covered in sticks and leaves and hole cuts were poorly done and had a big lip. Payed for 18 holes and was told cart return was in 20 minutes so I skipped hole 17 and went straight to 18. Not even 5 minutes later the course ranger came back and told me to return the cart while i was 100 yards away from the hole. I asked kindly if i could hurry up and finish. He told me no and wanted me to drive the cart back that instant. I told him I was going to finish my hole and that he was more than welcome to drive it back himself if it was that big of a deal. As…

I’ve tried every Rockford public course now and will say this one’s an absolute dog track. Fairways are cut the same as the rough on most holes. Grass is dead and rock hard. Bunkers aren’t dragged on a Sunday morning, and there’s random patches of grass missing and mud everywhere in some of the tee boxes? Hole 10 looks like somebody vandalized it with a skid loader. Sandy hallow is MUCH nicer for the same price, Aldeen is a bit pricier but even better.

Love Ingersoll and all the excellent staff. I play numerous times a week and will continue to do so but PLEASE get the irrigation system fixed. The greens are in better shape than the fairways, but both have gotten harder and harder as the summer drags on. The fairways are getting borderline unplayable. I haven't taken a decent divot since May/early June at least and I'm seeing an unhealthy increase in my driver distance due to the extra roll out.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently had the pleasure of playing a round of golf at Ingersoll Golf Course, and I must say it was an absolutely fantastic experience. This course exceeded all my expectations and provided a memorable day on the greens. First and foremost, the course itself is a hidden gem. Nestled in a beautiful setting, the well-maintained fairways, manicured greens, and scenic views create a serene and enjoyable atmosphere. The layout offers a perfect balance of challenge and playability, making it suitable for golfers of all skill levels. I was impressed by the attention to detail and the overa…

I play this course once a week throughout the season. It is always very well maintained and a fun golf experience. The greens roll smooth and medium fast. They are also usually firm and hard to hold.

I enjoy this course. If your a beginner, this course is very forgiving, if you're a regular player this course still offers a good day of challenges. Staff here awesome, and the driving range amd putting green are nice too.
