What People Say

In summary

Kaufman Golf Course at Palmer Park is highly regarded for its well-maintained greens, diverse and challenging layout, and picturesque setting that offers a peaceful escape from the city. Many golfers appreciate the friendly and attentive staff, although a few have noted that service in the clubhouse can be slow. While the course is praised for its excellent condition and value, some visitors have mentioned that certain areas can become quite wet, and a minority have experienced less favorable interactions with staff.

It was better to visit the second time than the first time. The staff was kind, and the courses were diverse and moderately difficult. It seems that it is a good place for those who started and those who play well. I could often hear the sound of being hit by a tree during play. As such, there are many large trees between the halls, so it was good to be relatively less dangerous. I'm going back.

love this course and it’s my favorite course in the area. the reason i give 4 and not 5 they got get the guys in the clubhouse who are friendly to move a little faster when making the turn. they got 3 guys in their 70’s and it takes them 10-12 min to make a hot dog order. maybe when they hire next get someone in their 20s because literally it’s a 3-4 min job.

For a city owned course, this is a fantastic track. Conditions are solid, course has some challenging and well designed holes. Honestly, the only complaint is the practice doesn't have real holes, just posts. Highly recommend checking it out.

Always love this course. Its tricky but not too difficuly. It for sure has moments that boosts the confidence while keeping you humble at other times. Always love coming here. Would recommend to beginners and more seasons players

The best "city" course around GR. I try to stay away from courses surrounded by traffic, homes, and parks...but Kaufman is certainly an exception. The course offers great variety from tight fairways and landing zones to wide open tee shots. It's manicured very well. BYOB is a huge plus.

Kaufman is nicely kept for a city-run course. Pretty difficult compared to the other courses in the area. Despite not having rain for some time, the first couple holes were very wet. Other than that, great course. Even had a family of deer visit us on multiple holes!

We snagged a tee time for an early season round this morning. This was my first time here and wasn’t sure what to expect. Considering it’s mid-April and for the price, this is a very nice course. Course plays long with some challenging sand bunkers. Fairways, bunkers and greens are really well maintained and the facilities seem brand new. I would definitely come back to this course.

What a spectacular course! Nestled away in the throngs of GR, this place provides a quick escape from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind. So many deer and geese, it’s like a zoo. The creek and ponds and teeming with fish and ducks. Fairways and greens were fine. They sell candy bars at the counter which is awesome. Watch out for the groundhog on hole 5, he is very irritable, unlike the deer who are all pretty chill.

My local go-to. Easily the best conditioned public course in the area. In fact, it's usually in better condition than many nearby private courses. Staff is very friendly too. If I could make a tee time as a single golfer, I'd have joined years ago. Much respect to the grounds crew team, as they are at the top of their game!

The course was great. In prime condition. The staff however is very snooty and stuck up. They make you feel like an inconvenience for giving them your business. The staff are really really rude people. Didn't get a cart for a 2:20 tee time until 2:25 and then were told we're 5 minutes behind pace. If you don't have to interact with anybody employed by this course you're gonna have a great time.

I have heard about this course from others and finally got to play it. Very nice track! I had to get a tee time a week in advance as a lot of people like this one! Going to have to go when the weather warms up and see the trees in full. Highly recommend this course!!

I recently had the pleasure of playing at this golf course, and I can honestly say it's one of the best experiences I've had in a long time. The layout of the course is both challenging and enjoyable, with well-maintained greens that show just how much care goes into keeping the course in top condition. What made my visit even more memorable was the outstanding staff. John and Brian went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed for a perfect day on the links. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly welcoming – it’s clear they have a genuine passion for both the game and…
