In summary

The Pines Golf Course is generally appreciated for its well-maintained fairways and greens, friendly staff, and reasonable pricing, making it a pleasant spot for golfers of various skill levels. The course layout, particularly the back nine, is noted for offering a fun and slightly challenging experience. However, some visitors have mentioned issues with the cleanliness of the golf carts, slow pace of play during peak times, and maintenance concerns such as overflowing trash cans.

Nice course, well maintained. The back 9 goes fast. The staff is friendly, I even lost my putting wedge and a staff member drove me all around the grounds looking for it. We did find it in the lost and found.

Course was in good shape for this time of year. Pace of play is good. Staff very friendly. Price wasn’t bad at 30 bucks riding for 9 holes. Fall rates I believe start on 9.29. Enjoyed the round.

Great local course. Friendly staff, reasonable rates. Only complaint, their carts are always very dirty. Would like to see some TLC on the carts between golfers.

The Pines is a beautiful fairly open course. A fun course for all skill levels. Some long and challenging holes and nice tricky par 3's. If you have the distance you are able to cut the corners on some of the longer holes and still end up in the fairway with a good look at the green. Fairways were well maintained and very soft...the greens were very fast and many have quite a good slope. The employees are very friendly and helpful. The beer cart comes around plenty often.

Great course for the price, would have been fine with paying more than what I did! Fairways and greens were excellent and not terribly long or too difficult. There are a few holes that will test your game. Sad it’s closing.

We had a family golf outing and the service and staff were very nice, but the golf carts were very dirty. I had to wipe down the wet seats before my wife and I could sit in the golf cart. The course was okay, but unfortunately there were multiple trash cans that were overflowing with trash and some were even on their side on the ground. There seemed to be no beverage person that was on the golf course at anytime being it 90+ degrees outside. It seems to be a maintenance issue that could have made our experience much better. My wife stated the women’s bathroom was clean and maintained well, and…

The course is in pretty rough shape, although the greens are decent (at the time of this posting). Golf carts are old gas engine type with no GPS's. I guess you get what you pay for although I was there on an outing/scramble and way overpaid I thought. Probably won't ever go back.

A fun short course within easy driving distance for most folks in Grand Rapids. Greens are in great shape and the hole locations is what brings the challenge to the course. UPDATE: The Pines will be open for 2024 season!

Beautiful course, not the longest, not the most challenging, but it is enjoyable and makes for a fun day of golf

I went to the driving range with my husband last Sunday. It was great experience. I love here because it was near from my house and the driving distance was well guided. The one thing I didn't like was that the driver could not be used until May 28 due to the construction of the net. I will visit again after June.
