In summary

Longwood Golf Club receives praise for its recent renovations, attractive course layout, and well-maintained practice areas, with some golfers highlighting the challenging bunkers and water hazards. The staff, particularly golf pro John Krause, is noted for their helpfulness and expertise. However, some visitors express concerns about the slow pace of play, course maintenance issues, and the perceived high pricing relative to the course conditions. Additionally, the navigation between holes can be confusing for first-time visitors.

Longwood is a lil overpriced but hey 125 ain’t that bad. The first ten holes are great then the layout gets boring. However it’s in pretty good shape. My biggest gripe is no Marshall on a Saturday…my front 10 I played great pace then after that it’s been 2 hours to play 4- 5 holes. I’m writing this review behind a twosome, foursome and another foursome all on one hole…even called the clubhouse and they admitted they should have a Marshall…said he’d do what he could that was 30 mins ago haven’t seen a single employee drive around to assess the issue.

If you are looking for a great golf pro to tweak your game or help you learn to play golf, John Krause is your guy! I have been going to him for two years and he also teaches my grandkids! He is patient, knowledgeable and knows how to help you be your best! He teaches at Longwood Golf Club...you won't be sorry!

Used to be a member here pre-renovations(moved out of Houston since then). I was concerned with the price increase on greens fees I had heard about. Played here for the first time post-renovation last week and was pleasantly surprised. The practice area is levels above what it used to be and it was pretty solid before to begin with. The course is 18 holes now and not 27 but still in great shape, and I believe holes 16-18 are brand new. Really enjoyed these as they have small features from the shrubbery off the fairway to the newly added bridges that elevate the overall experience. Be mindful o…

Great course for challenging bunkers and water hazards.

It's interesting that this course is now private considering it's in rough shape and no longer near the size and condition it used to be. Was hoping to be able to play near my house but I can't even consider a membership when the course is in the shape it is. Also the bridge over Cypress Creek is a death trap awaiting a lawsuit. The concrete slab keeps falling lower and they just add dirt on top... Not very bright.

Whomever is the old guy at the first tee box, he needs an attitude adjustment. Arrived at the tee box (11:20am Friday the 7th) and we noticed a 4 some was at the green while another 4 some was in the fairway, knew the day was gonna be a long one. (5 hour and 15 min) Than the old guy giving us an attitude since he has to explain how to get to hole 2 and hole 11, this was our first time at the course, like dude that's your job. If you hate it so much why not put better signs out. Lucky enough we have our app to show where the holes were as you will get lost since there are no signs where to tur…

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Price Don’t be fooled by the first few holes — this course puts on a good front, but the quality quickly declines. By the time you reach the back nine, it’s clear the maintenance is severely lacking. The fairways are dry, under-watered, and poorly cared for. Even more concerning are the recent course design changes, which seem to prioritize aesthetics or expansion over safety and playability. Several holes now put players at risk of hitting nearby homes, a serious issue that shouldn’t be overlooked. Don’t lose sight of the fact that the staff and own…

As of March 2021 this is a fun course. The greens are currently horrendous. So bad they are giving a discount. That being said. Golf is always a blast and this is a unique and interesting course. This is three nine hole courses.

I have played here several times and really enjoy the course. It is a bit far from me but still worth the drive. I really like the way. The new renovations are laid out in the clubhouse is really nice. I wish that the court girl was around a little bit more, but maybe that’s just on Sundays.

Extremely overpriced goat ranch! What a rip off. I never did understand holiday pricing. Why jack up your prices just because people want to play golf? $125! That’s what they charged me to play this goat ranch yesterday. Confusing to get around, the course is not kept up, They claimed it was cartpath only and the fairways were dry, and thin of grass, the greens were just OK, the bunkers were decent. $35-$45 maybe, but not $125! You should be ashamed of yourself. And if you’re gonna charge holiday rates, give me a holiday service. You were out of everything I wanted at the townhouse, you did no…

Beautiful course, enjoyed every hole. My favorite course in the houston area for the green fees. Food is a limited selection, but what they have was delicious .

I was pleasantly surprised by how they took old holes and created new holes to make a fair but challenging new course. The greens are even better than what they were before. The course is more open because of cutting trees down but they have replaced them with more water and strategically placed sand traps. This is now a private course so you will have to either join or play with a member.
