In summary

BlackHorse Golf Club receives praise for its beautiful and well-maintained courses, with challenging layouts that appeal to a range of skill levels, and friendly, courteous staff. However, some visitors express dissatisfaction with the condition of certain course elements, such as greens and bunkers, and note issues with pace of play and the high cost relative to the experience offered. While the club's amenities are generally appreciated, there are mixed reviews regarding the overall value for money.

I've played Blackhorse a handful of times now. Both South and North courses are relatively similar - offering a mix of forgiving and challenging holes with a relatively flat layout. I play golf all over the southeast in my travels and will note that I've never encountered such indifferent and seemingly bothered Pro Shop Staff members. Each time I've checked in they seem mad they are at work or bothered that we're paying to play golf there. The starters and rangers have all been very friendly, but the pro shop folks are simply awful. They are first folks anyone typically meets upon arriving at…

It was not even busy. No one in front or behind us all day. I play relatively quick yet I could not finish any quicker than 4:40 due to the uber restrictive carts with insane geofencing. Made several hours basically cart path only. At one point I was 4 yards into the fairway with my playing partners cart 20 yards ahead and my cart stopped me forced me to drive 1 mph backwards to the cart path! Not worth the money for this type of round

Played before a tournament so had to play quickly but the course was in really good shape even right after the floods. Fairways were like carpet and the greens were perfect. Made for a great day of golf.

2 beautiful 18 hole courses the North and the South. The North is a little more forgiving than the South but both will challenge every part of your game! The off course amenities are first class and Ropers Grill …..well I’ll go there to eat even when I’m not playing. Add to that a friendly and knowledgeable Staff and what’s not to like!

I won't be back. Sadly it's just a wreck these days when it comes to maintenance and pace of play. The North course was absolutely beat up today with a round averaging 5+ hours. Had to leave on the 12th because it was just such a frustrating experience and I had to get back home. With no sand in the carts, no seed in the sand, really poor tee box maintenance, fluffy greens, they're not doing themselves any favors. All around just a bad experience for a $150 round today. Played here for the first time on Father's day and was genuinely looking forward to it. Maybe that's just what you get for yo…

Great golf course and good value. Challenging but fair. Staff were all very polite, courteous and customer service oriented. We were paired with two members to play the north course. Both players were very friendly and welcoming to their regular golf course.

Played the North Course yesterday and we not very happy. The green we're torn up from the machine that punched the holes in them tracks all over the grains dead spots they were horrible. I've never seen the greens like that at that course. It ain't worth money to play right now I'll tell you that right now anyway they are too expensive better golf courses out there in better shape and cheaper won't be going back there anytime soon that's for sure

I wanna start this review by saying the staff wnd the food is amazing, But to say, disappointed is an understatement. Yes, I will give them the benefit that it is still winter time and it is not that green outside but I’ve heard about this course for a long time. And I googled it and by the images, I was very excited it looks nothing like the pictures the ground is very hard the tee boxes are some of the worst I’ve seen There is sand from divots being filled everywhere Besides the layout of the course and the greens, I would never choose the course over my home course that cost $50

Any day you can play golf is great. Especially when my lovely bride loves it as much as I do and plays right along side of me. Today Saturday Sept 27th we wanted to try a new course. Someone at her office told her BLACKHORSE was a great place to go golf we don’t mind paying for a good course. The staff was great and friendly and the clubhouse was nice. We got booked on the North Course, non member, course and paid over $100 per person to play. Well to say the least this was over charging, why because, the course was not challenging in any way shape or form. Wide open fairways and bunkers that’…

Beautiful course - plenty of water and hazards. Staff is very friendly and can play a reasonable replay rate for the other 18 holes.
