Madison Golf Course

Great course to walk. Course was in good shape. Except some sand traps were what's the right word.... Chunky, rock hard. Best advice miss the sand traps if you can. Wasn't packed. But the front nine took 2.5 hours which is ridiculous. We had a foursome in front of me and my brother. They had carts, but they were still slower than snails. The back nine only took 1.5 hrs.

I enjoyed the course today however there was an older gentleman that was extremely rude and dismissive when I kindly asked if the cart he just brought back was available. There were no carts available yet and I was happy to wait, it was a busy day today, but he made it seem as though I inconvenienced him by asking. I don’t know the ins and outs of how courses work yet, it’s truly just a new hobby, and I think he could’ve been far more helpful instead of literally laughing at me after he saw that they gave me the wrong key for the cart inside. I waited like they told me to and simply just asked…

The course was busy, however the staff being well trained moved us through quickly The carts were clean, ready and plentiful. The course is well maintained and clean No distractions aside from a few duffers that haven't figured out they need to go to the range first. All in all it was a great outing thank you PPD.

Decent wide open course with huge greens. Pace was somewhat slow but not horrible. Back 9 is tight but overall in great condition. Would play again but nothing extremely desirable about the course. Easy and well kept course.

Course staff/management is not good at all. Last year I would play and the people at the front desk would have a good vibe and be nice to you, telling you to play well and have fun. This year I’ve had instances where they’ve been straight rude and money hungry making you pay insane fees for 9 holes. They were hesitant and straight up mean when my buddy wanted to rent clubs saying they didn’t want him breaking them and they’ve never let someone rent clubs, which I don’t believe. I’m not sure if the reason I’m getting treated badly is because I’m a person of color but I’ve never been discriminat…

Pace of play was very good. 3 hours 20 minutes for 18 holes today riding in a cart. Yardage of most par 4’s around 330 yards. One par 5 on course plays just over 500 yards. Greens roll smooth and fairways cut good for public course. Cost to play very competitive.

I've played there off and on last 10 years for practice purposes. It's too short for me personally. But it is definitely a great course for Juniors and seniors I believe that the course is just perfect for them as well for beginning golfer's

Attended on10/3 for a golf outing. Prior I hadn't played this course in about 15 years or so. I must say, Madison has come a long way since the last time I played and will definately be returning. The course was in phenomenal shape.

course is in good/great shape especially for the current weather conditions. great municipal course kind of short on the back 9 but all in all enjoyed our round

The fairways, rough areas & greens were in great shape - green & luscious.There were a couple of "new" water hazards, but I'm sure they will be gone before long. Madison is one of my favorite courses - just hard enough to challenge a "so-so" player, and challenging enough for my lower handicap play mates. Everyone wins! (I wonder if a wood carver could be hired to carve eagles, Indians, totems, etc., out of the standing dead trees - a little art on the course!)

They double charged me. So I went back figuring it was a simple mistake and they would return the money or give me another round to make us even. Well they said they couldnt help me only one guy could help me. Art, maybe not sure if the name is correct. They told me he would be in later that day to come back around 3pm. So I did they said oh he canceled his tee time he didnt show up. I didnt know he was golfing I thought he was working. They then told me to come back in the morning he will be working at 9. I left my number and ask to have him call me. No call. Showed up at 10am he wasnt there…

Very plain Jane course. Super forgiving. I've heard its usually pretty easy to get on, except the day we went. Can run into real bad players at the 30 dollar price tag though. Fairways were just okay. Greens were faaast. Pretty well maintained.
