In summary

Lick Creek Golf Course is frequently praised for its challenging layout, well-maintained conditions, and beautiful setting, offering a rewarding experience for avid golfers. The staff is noted for their friendliness, and the course provides good value, particularly for local residents. However, some visitors have pointed out issues such as fast greens, a steep learning curve for newcomers, occasional slow pace of play, and a lack of water stations on hot days.

Consistently rated one of the finest public courses, it is simply a jewel. A fair but stern test. Interestingly enough there are some holes that offer penalty/reward options #2, 10, 16, 18.. Have to admit I despise #15 and 17. The real test is 5, 6, and 7. You wanna be long and straight! Also very affordable, especially if you are a Pekin resident. Grip em and rip em! Spring is here!

Amazing golf for the price. Great layout, country club conditions. I had a blast and will definitely be back.

Fairways are great, greens are good but in my opinion too fast especially when pin placement is on sever slopes. The course is built on ravines and if your shot placement isn't exact you will be loosing balls. It's a tough course and very punitive. If you play here a lot you know where to place your shots if you don't it's going to be a steep learning curve for you.

Very nice course all things considered. It’s not a pricey, premium course. It’s a value course. But it’s still challenging, pretty long and I found it to be in great condition. I don’t live in the area but travel here for work on occasion. I will be back and would recommend to anyone.

Very challenging and fun course. Hitting the ball straight is mandatory. Several narrow, sloping fairways with woods on both sides. Still in pretty good shape except the greens have recently been aerated and sanded so putting is difficult. I'll go back!

Always love Lick Creek, driving range was nice, good chipping and putting area. But the course is the real reason to go to Lick. It can eat your golf balls left and right if your not hitting it good, I feel though the better more challenging courses you play the better you will get, bc it gives you the opportunity to hit every shot in your bag. Makes you take shots that other courses just don't make you take. If you can afford the price tag it's well worth your time.

Great challenging 18 hole course. Greens and fairways were in great shape. Hole #6 was my favorite. Tee off, hitting through a tunnel of trees with a dogleg left.

Dishonest. Was hoping for a fast round of golf and asked the guy at the desk if the course was crowded. He said it was pretty open until you catch up to the group on number four, then it slows down a bit. What he didn't say is that the group on number four was the last grouping of the tri-county tournament. The pace of play didn't slow down a bit when we caught up to that group, it virtually stopped. I quit after nine holes and three and a half hours of waiting on the tournament participants. I like the course well enough, it's in good shape and would be enjoyable, but I'm rating ONE STAR for…
