In summary

Sunset Hills Golf Club is frequently praised for its friendly and attentive staff, excellent bar and grill, and a well-designed course that offers a mix of hilly and flat fairways. Many visitors appreciate the course's challenging layout and well-maintained greens, although some have noted issues with maintenance, such as cart paths and goose droppings. A common critique is the lack of clubhouse access at the turn and the absence of a beverage cart, which can be inconvenient for players.

Great staff, bar and grill is excellent. Great out door sitting area. Condition of course was alright greens rolled good. No club house at the turn to grab refills or a bite to eat. No beverage cart or snack shack. That has to hurt their bottom line. It was a course sponsored outing I played in. Granted it was early season March 22. Make sure you get 2 coolers and enough beverages at the start. You won't see the club house til you finish. Oh and you will need Google maps to find the course. ***Update*** Owner response was accurate! I've been playing this course since 1993 and I'll be back no q…

I’m from the STL area traveling for work, so I didn’t know what to expect. Mike in the pro shop was excellent. The rental set he put together for me worked well & he threw in some golf balls for me for free. The course was a little dry but great design & greens that are nothing like what I get in STL, very fast but rolled true (no divots in sight) also something I’m not used to ahah. If I ever find myself in the area for work again, there’s not doubt that Sunset Hills will be my first call & I’ll be asking for Mike👍🏼. Thanks again for the hospitality, I’m 25 & isn’t not typical for me to wri…

Was lucky enough to visit this facility the last 4 years. Always been an absolute treat and this year was no different. However I was lucky enough to interact with the owner. After speaking with him I can see why this has grown over the last year into such a great place to visit and enjoy a nice meal. The bar and grill is phenomenal and the disc golf course is top notch. If you wanted to visit a place that appreciates disc golf and wants to see it grow this is a destination course. The owner was over the moon that the course was being featured on disc golf network and just wanted to make the c…

This course is so much fun! After playing all day for a friends birthday the restaurant was nice enough to set up a table big enough for our large group of 12. Tara our waitress was very patient & attentive with us all. She truly went above and beyond with the service. The Cheese balls are DELICIOUS!😊

Our service was wonderful. The waitress kept our tea glasses refilled and brought more napkins before we could even ask for them. She checked on us regularly and was so sweet and friendly. Our food was delicious, hot and a large portion too! It was such a nice night out.

I had just hosted a workshop here for about 20 people. The staff was on top of things, the food was great, the whole experience was wonderful. Special thanks to Robert, Charli, and Janelle who treat this place like it is their own. Thank you thank you for making this event a success!

I've been playing Sunset Hills since the 90's, and it has always been a go-to course. Nice country club feel with the bar and grill. Friendly folks and good golf on a cool course that's good for all levels of players. Make sure you're prepared with drinks etc...there is no traditional 9 in/9 out with the clubhouse at the turn...the 9th hole is at the opposite side of the course. Overall a very nice course and it's certainly good value with the free wings specials

Below average golf course. Had the feel of a place that used to be great about 20 years ago and has gone downhill since. Cart paths are poorly maintained with lots of potholes, carts are old and worn down. Greens/fairway need better maintenance; goose poop everywhere, including most greens and actually obstructs putting. Lots of tree limbs in fairways. Fees about 40% higher than they should be. Staff I talked to was very curt, bordering on rude. They acted like they didn't like the public being allowed in, despite it being the worst of three public courses in the area. Would not be surprised…

Great course that is maintained. The hospitality is class and they do whatever they can to make you feel welcome. Ryan took care of us and did an amazing job. Will defiantly recommend then to everyone in the Greater Peoria area.

Went for dinner. Was disappointed. Beer was not cold and the meal was incomplete.

Really unique golf course! Half the fairways are very hilly and half are flat. Not a real long course however you must be able to a accurately position your ball. Green were exceptional and roll true. The only negative is the traps could use more sand.
