In summary

Parkview Golf Course receives praise for its well-maintained fairways and greens, friendly staff, and challenging layout with hills and mature trees. However, some visitors express concerns about the course's pricing, maintenance issues on certain greens, and occasional service mishaps. While many enjoy the overall golfing experience, others suggest exploring alternative courses for better value or conditions.

The course is not very well maintained — you can still golf, but it’s definitely not worth the price. When we went to have lunch, the staff got our orders wrong, dropped a hot dog, then put it back on the bun and asked if we still wanted it before handing it to us. On top of that, I had forgotten a speaker and called the front desk the same day to ask if it was still there. They confirmed it was, took down my name, and said they would hold it for me to pick up since they keep lost and found items for up to a year. When I returned later (I’m from out of town), they said they no longer had it an…

I don’t know if it’s disease or bugs but the first thing you notice is dead or dying trees on every hole. The fairways are maintained but there is crabgrass everywhere. The tee boxes must not get watered either because it’s hard to put a tee into the ground. The cart paths have more potholes than Illinois roads. There are at least two of greens that have large dead spots on them for the past few years now. Finally, for me what puts it over the top is they have the balls to charge $58 to play a round with a cart. Save your money and time and do not play this course, the park district only cares…

Course was is ok shape. Greens definitely seen better days. Price wise I won't be a repeat customer. Also, $20 a 6 pack of busch light is pretty steep considering you're premium prices for a basic course. Not a bad place would just prefer to spend my time and money elsewhere next time.

A nice golf course to play. The condition is very good. This town has the nicest park system that I have ever encountered. It is a terrible town to live in, but the park system is second to none.

Absolutely fabulous golf course for the Pekin area. I’ve never had any problems with the conditions of the course and it seems like the grounds crew is doing a pretty good job. It doesn’t help my golf game but it makes me want to play more often.

Difficult to find a course without a pack of retirees playing in the morning. Did some hole jumping but course was in pretty good shape. With GolfNow app I paid $32.48 for 18 and a cart at 10:32 on a Wednesday. Never played here without booking through the app. Good value this way in my opinion. Fun course. Located near Kroger for snacks during the round.

No bent grass fairways. Course was in pretty good shape. Greens were big and sloping. The pin locations when I went were in very challenging places on most holes. Greens were way slower than I am used too. Greens were in good shape though.

Staff was very friendly and course was in great condition after a little rain. Not a ton of hazards but a lot of hills and lot of blind shots. Had a really enjoyable day and experience here.

The golf course is in tremendous shape . The fairways and greens are in excellent condition considering all the rain . Hilly, tree lined fairways, fair amount of sand traps that are in great condition .The greens are poa annua . It’s a very fair and challenging course that is walkable . The staff is very friendly and helpful. They will allow u to go off the back if it’s feasible. You can shoot some low scores and have allot of fun . Open almost all year one of the very few in the area that u can play in dec-feb !

Well maintained, fairly challenging course in the heart of Pekin. The facilities are a little dated, but the equipment is in great shape. I golfed in the middle of the day and the crowd was full of retirees (which was to be expected). My only complaint was the group of ladies in front of me that refused to acknowledge I was constantly waiting on them and they refused to let me play through. But that's it. GolfNow constantly has deals for Parkview, so I highly recommend checking there before booking.

I like Parkview, I really do. We make the trip to Pekin several times a year to play Parkview. This time was different. When I made our tee time, I could easily have been informed that the greens were being aerated and sanded and that the back nine would be closed for repairs. Neither was mentioned. I was very disappointed. We did play the front nine twice, but it was not a pleasant experience(repair spots & rough greens & full cost). Maybe, maybe next year I'll be smart enough to ask about course conditions. Or maybe we'll just play somewhere else.

One word : GNATS played 11 out of 18 holes, millions upon millions of gnats biting upon you whilst trying to swing a golf club. To be fair, I don't believe there's anything the course can do about it. Staff was very friendly. The rough is impossible to find a golf ball in. They had a guy push mowing the rough around greens at 12:00 pm on a Friday, course maintenance should always be done in the early mornings they should know that. Lastly turn the sprinklers around the greens off during the middle of the day, not trying to get hosed. Thankyou.
