In summary

Oak Ridge Golf Club receives mixed reviews, with some visitors appreciating the course layout and the friendly staff, particularly at the Old Oaks course. However, many express dissatisfaction with the overall course conditions, citing issues such as poorly maintained fairways, tee boxes, and greens, as well as slow pace of play and inadequate signage. While some find value in discounted rates, others feel the regular pricing does not reflect the quality of the experience.

I'm truly impressed with the change of care for this course. The views speak for themselves. Stunning! Weekend prices are higher than average. Fields can be a little wet, as one would expect from a course named MARSH oaks. Oak Ridge, the sister course, would be a whole different rating. They clearly focus the staff and care to marsh oaks. My favorite skip work and golf place on a weekday! Wide open and Noone in sight. Just how I like it!

Yikes I didn’t think it was gonna be this bad. The fairways were dirt, multi colored greens, and brown tee boxes. Sometimes I didn’t know what hole I started at because the signs were gone. There was a Yellowjacket nest in a sand trap. Cart broke down on the back nine. Even the water jugs were empty. I have never seen a course in such disrepair.

Only play Marsh Oaks if you have no other options and are desperate to play. Course conditions coupled with the price they charge ($50 weekday) makes this the worst value course in the state. Awful tee boxes, dried out brown fairways, abandoned weed infested bunkers. IF anything, the greens were passable. They were replacing the sand in the bunkers on 8 when we were there, but I'm not optimistic. They started doing bunkers 2 years ago, but never finished. Do the owners ever wonder why the parking lot is empty? It's such a shame, this used to be a premium course.

Oak Ridge Golf course 👍👍👍 👎🏿 👎🏿 Staff & management 👍 no starter and other staff members doing great job. Beer girl on the course and great Value of the money 👍- $25 groupgolfer ok and not more than that Amenities 👍- golf range area there. Proshop has drinks and beer cart girl in the course. Pace of the play & direction 👎🏿 Not much crowd but pace of the play was not so good as golfers all around looking for balls and delay in each holes. Sign provided good but direction need improvement as two 18 courses next to each other. Course 👎🏿- maintained just ok Marsh oaks front 9 not greatly maint…

I have never once wrote a review for anything, and I don't plan on writing another one unless something is just this bad. One of the worst golf experiences I have ever had, and I am used to playing at mediocre courses...BUT, I have never been on a course this bad. The course conditions were awful. My nephew spent $140 to take me golfing for my bday at what I thought was a decent course. $70 a person is outrageous for how terrible the course conditions were. I would rather have spent the extra $20 - $30 per person and gone to Cherry Creek or Greystone. I will never be coming back here unless so…

I would leave a zero. First time I've played here in a few years. Now I remember for good reason. I bought a Groupon, thankfully!!! Regular price weekend play is $70 for the Marsh, $20 is more appropriate. Tee box, fairway, greens terrible condition. Then we we got stuck behind 2 foursome who allowing other foursome to pass them. Called the ranger, did nothing, ranger should have booted the two foursomes when they are hitting easily 40 strokes per hole. We eventually skipped a hole to get around them. We come into the bar for after the round for drinks and food. Pizza was very good!! Bloody ma…

Despite having questionable carts (beat up and hardly starting) and a course that isnt in the best shape I think the environment here was laid back and i found the old oaks course rather enjoyable. I'd play again. For $20 for 18, you couldn't ask for a better course!

I have played this course a lot, it's OK, but usually not very well curated. The design is good and the entire facility has some serious potential but the course conditions make this place unplayable. Used to be $50 for marsh oaks and 40 for old oaks, this year I see 70 and 50 and from my one visit, nothing looked different. Wet dirt bunkers, rock solid fairways, patchy grass. If they put some effort towards maintaining the place it could be significantly better than it is. You think they'd get the hint when they have open tee times all weekend every weekend while everywhere else is booked sol…

Many of the recent bad reviews had almost deterred us from playing the Marsh course. But hey, 25 bucks, courtesy of Groupon, what the heck, let's see for ourselves and boy, were we pleasantly surprised. What we saw was an amazing course layout, fair but not fast greens in great shape, mud not sand traps, and a few too many boggy spots here and there. Overall, a great value at a course that just needs a little bit of better drainage management. Ps, the carts we had were new. We definitely will be back.

The staff is very nice here but unfortunately I don’t think I’ll ever play at Oak Ridge again. It cost $46 for 18 holes and the course was in awful shape. Greens were full of dead patches and the crabgrass rough hadn’t been cut in weeks, dandelions everywhere. If you’re not going to maintain the golf course, don’t charge a premium to play here!

I wish it were possible to give a zero star review, because that is what this place deserves. This course is in horrendous condition. Every tee box, every fairway, and every green had large areas of either dead grass or bare dirt. I've played a lot of golf courses in my life and this is, by far, the worst conditions I've ever seen. The owners/operators of this course should be embarrassed.

Awful course don’t even consider playing here. Terrible conditions, running the sprinklers during weekend hours with golfers on the course (no wonder the parking lot is empty), fairways and greens are not maintained in the slightest. Patchy everywhere. If you HAVE TO play here, play old oaks. $10 cheaper and better conditions than marsh oaks. Marsh oaks would negative stars if it was possible. You can find a million better ways to spend your money than to play here. DO NOT PLAY, YOU CAN PLAY ANY BETTER COURSE FOR THE SAME PRICE
