In summary

Pine Trace Golf Club receives mixed reviews, with some visitors appreciating the friendly staff and the course's challenging layout, which includes a variety of doglegs and blind tee shots. However, many express dissatisfaction with the course's maintenance, citing poor conditions of greens and fairways, as well as high fees that do not reflect the quality of the experience. Additionally, the online booking system and lack of flexibility with cancellations are points of frustration for several patrons.

Overall would not come again. Price was way too high for this poorly maintained course. The course is not well designed - a couple holes were too crowded, tee boxes running parallel to each other - us and another group were hitting balls into each other’s fairway. Not ideal. See pictures for the grounds themselves. Some staff were nice - the worker at the starter box was, and the one clubhouse person. $42 for 9, $15 for a rider. Also - we paid $57 in total, but were held up 5-10 min at the starter shack because they said we didn’t pay - some official was yelling aggressively over the walkie…

Golf course in my hometown. I used to play there frequently when it was owned by Rochester Hills which gave its residents a slight discount with reasonable green fees. Now, under new management, I like so many others now play there maybe once a year only to rekindle fond memories of days gone by before it finally prices itself out of existence. News flash. You lost your 4 star rating. My son in law, daughter and grandson played there over the Labor Day weekend and the starter had the audacity to ask if they paid for my 5 year old granddaughter as a rider. They said no and had to cough up anoth…

Played here on May 19, 2024. This course is in shambles. Back in the day, Pine Trace was in tremendous shape...NOT anymore. The layout is enjoyable but every aspect of course conditions is deplorable. The greens seem to have some type of disease and are completely inconsistent from hole to hole as it relates to speed. Every hole has patches of dirt around the greens. WHAT A MESS...NOT WORTH PLAYING given the course conditions because there are too many other more viable options. Garbage was present at most tee boxes because there were no garbage receptacles. Disgusting. Grass was growing along…

Feel ripped off. For the two courses this place is associated with and the price they charge I expected so much better. Basically playing in a swamp. Tee boxes were nothing but mud. Fairways were in rough shape and that's being nice. There's plenty of courses for cheaper that you can play that are taken care of much better.

Played 4/14/24, this was the first time I've played this course and I enjoyed it overall. The staff was very friendly, the $48 fee seem fair for this time of the year. The course was challenging bun fun. Bunkers and some greens need some work but the starter did say they will be doing some renovations next year. I do hope they update the cart paths with this renovation as well. I definitely will play again

$65 for 18 holes during the week for this (these are photos of several of the "fairways").... What a shame, use to be such a great course. Hard to believe it's sister course is Shepherd's Hollow.

Course would be fun if it was in half way decent shape. $45 for a 9-hole tee time at 5:06 PM on a weekday is absolutely insane for the quality of greens/bunkers/rough. Overall just not well maintained, and the price is WAY too high. They also don't do twilight, so for a 5:06 pm tee time on a Thursday there's the option to pay for 18, which is an insane $68, and they pack the course so much that you can't finish. $68 AND YOU MIGHT NOT EVEN GET ALL THE HOLES IN. This might be the most over priced golf course I have ever played at.

Played yesterday, 85 for 18 holes. We were rushed off the first tee, despite not having a cart available for use until right at our tee time. We then proceeded to have 3-4 groups on every hole from hole 2 onward. The course maintenance was decent at best, ball marks riddled most greens and tee boxes were absolutely demolished. I don't say this often, but I would've rathered to not golf. Nearly 5.5 hour round, poor conditions for an overpriced course

I normally don’t leave reviews but after reading a lot of bad reviews I thought I needed to. Tried this course for the first time and I must say it is fantastic! They are obviously doing some repairs and I heard there was some infestation last year so maybe that caused some damage but this course was beautiful. Fun to play. Challenging on some holes but forgiving on others. You need to keep it in the fairway or lay up on some holes but that made it fun. Greens were fast! Hit some uphill putts that ran out so be careful or stay below the hole. Not sure what course all the bad reviews were playi…

Just had a great time at this course. We were able to play at a nice easy pace. All the staff was great. Especially Sophie/Sofie(not sure on the spelling). She was very nice and went above and beyond to help me out after my round. Thank you again Sophie/Sofie! You’re one in a million

Bartender excellent Starter and overall staff, excellent (especially the starter, I love the old dad jokes). Range, pretty solid. Course: slow paced/crawl, and the conditions don't justify 85$, not even close. However, that's not my gripe. My issue is that you forced me to reserve online, pay up front, at 85$ a head. One of our players had an emergency and couldn't make it last minute. There's no rain checks, no refunds, no nothing. I even asked if I could just give it to the next random guy or girl that shows up and the answer was no. That's so short sighted as a business owner I don't even…

Nice people sure but for $80 the greens should be playable at the least. You can tell nobody cares about this course from the people that play it to the owners. You also HAVE to make your teetime online, they don’t accept phone calls which is really strange especially for such a bummy course
