What People Say

In summary

Prairiewood Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained grounds, reasonable rates, and suitability for beginners and intermediate players, offering a good mix of challenges without being overly intimidating. The staff is generally considered friendly, and the course's executive layout provides a quick and enjoyable round of golf. However, some visitors have noted issues with the availability of carts, slow pace of play, and occasional service concerns, particularly regarding tee time management and communication.

Brought my 12 yr old to the course for a Junior PGA tournament event. Very well kept grounds with an attentive staff. Nice little racetrack for a quick 9. Enough water and bunkers to make you choose shots wisely. If we were local we'd make this course part of a regular rotation.

Prairiewood Golf Course is a wonderful nine hole course to play a round or two of golf. Their fairways and tee-boxes are always well kept, and their greens are always in fantastic condition! No matter your skill level, Prairiewood is a great place for you to go and golf! It is Fargo's hidden secret!

Played this course for the first time last week while visiting family. Very nice 9 hole course, with a good variety of holes. At least 2 holes over 400 yards, so you even get the chance to break out the driver which is rare for a 9 hole course. I would definitely recommend this course for all ages and skill levels.

No carts even though grass wasn’t wet when they said it was, no alcohol allowed on course, vibe overall is just not fun.

Course was pretty nice it was a fun round. Only 4 starts because when we were waiting for our T time they were out of carts and we were waiting for someone to come off the course before we could get one. But the staff was super awkward about us being late for our t time but they were the ones that didn’t have carts 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️😂. They weren’t mean about it just awkward and pushy.

DO NOT RECOMMEND for your first time golfing. We originally had a fun time for the 4 of us (the first time on this course and hitting a ball) keep in mind we were letting people go ahead of us and pass. At the end when we returned our carts, the two 17 year old kids running the club rudely said “do you guys wanna keep at the pace of play next time you come here. It’s about 2 hours and 20 min and you guys played for 3 hours and there was a lot of people behind you”. We understand this and let people pass as we played. They also did not let us know the “pace of play time” when we checked in. Had…

A great neighborhood golf course. You can get a tee time whenever you want one. My only issue is that there are many novice golfers that don't know how to either move their game along quickly or let people by. The course needs to have more people out there educating the people.

I have had plenty of good to great experiences here, mainly based on the quality of the course. Never really had a moment where I had to question their service or business sense but here was my most recent experience: I had a couple hours free one afternoon at little notice so I stopped by without a tee time, which I have never needed during a mid-week afternoon in the past. Parking lot was less than half full, no one at hole 1. I go into the clubhouse and ask for a cart and it would be just me golfing. I was told that because I didn't have a tee time I couldn't golf. The 2 young gentlemen wor…

Not a very well-designed golf course. Not many courses start out with a Par 3, then go to a blind tee-off Par 4, then another Par 3. This design can really back up a golf course when it’s busy. I’ve golfed 2 rounds here (9 holes each) and both rounds took 3 and a half hours when I could do 18 holes in that time.
