In summary

Saratoga Spa State Park Golf Club is frequently praised for its beautiful layout, well-maintained greens, and lush fairways, offering a challenging yet enjoyable golfing experience. The setting is appreciated for its natural beauty and the course is noted for being well-operated with helpful staff. However, some visitors have experienced issues with course maintenance, slow pace of play, and unwelcoming staff, which detracts from the overall experience for some golfers.

Courses in great shape and a beautiful layout. Has some challenging holes but not overly filled with sand traps or water like some courses. The elevated greens with their subtle undulations will challenge you, at least they challenged me. The prices go up during racing season FYI.

Yes, a public course....Yes, more beautiful and better maintained than several of the local private courses. Thank you New York state.

The condition of their greens and fairways were nice, i really enjoyed to play there. They take care of their course very well. Fresh air, green nature, and good staffs… all good. I want to play here again. Thanks.

Was looking for a groomed cross country flat ski path for beginners. This seems intermediate. The Warming Hut is quite basic but it's free!

I rarely leave reviews, but my recent visit to this course was frustrating enough to warrant one. Unfortunately, this was one of the most poorly maintained golf courses I’ve played in quite some time. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that upkeep is not a priority. The tee boxes were uneven and patchy, several fairways were burnt with bare spots, and the greens were inconsistent, bumpy, and in need of serious care. Bunkers were either rock-hard or full of weeds, making them virtually unplayable. For the price being charged, this level of neglect is unacceptable. There are other courses…

Par 29 course is a great nine hole course! Best state course I've ever seen!

Great place to play golf! The course is well maintained and well operated. Offers a challenging course with sand traps but no water holes at least in the back nine that's what I was on. I hear the third and fourth hole are very tough. Two times are required. And generally foursomes are put out as usual we were fortunate enough to have been able to play it as twosome. One of the thing that I also liked was the fact that the course is somewhat open and forgiving. So for that little fade away that you might have. You might not be having to take a penalty.

I have come up every year to play the Spa Course and it never disappoints. The Greens are in amazing shape and fast, fairways are super lush, and the tees are in good shape specially how many rounds this place puts out. New GPS golf carts and staff is super nice. Highly recommend and hats off to the staff maintaining and running the course ! Keep up the good work.

Golf course is in ok condition. Tee boxes are beat up with some crabgrass. The last 2 times I played we never saw the cart girl on the back 9. Two hours in 90 degree heat unable to get a drink. Managers response was that no one else has complained.

This is about the Par 29 course. It cost me $68 for me and my 7 year old daughter to play with a cart. Now I am usually willing to pay this because it is a nice set up for junior golfers and they always let her and I go out as a twosome as she is still learning the game. Today they told me I had to join up with another twosome or we couldn’t play. The other twosome was late and it caused all sorts of havoc. Very cold people working the clubhouse. They need to have people working there that understand the game of golf and they definitely need to treat junior golfers better.

One of the best value countries I’ve ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Good course to score on for longer hitters and don’t be fooled by the fact they don’t have a STimp reading- these run at probably a 12!

Wide fairways, large greens, lots of trees. Fun golf course.
