In summary

Sienna Plantation Golf Club receives mixed reviews, with some visitors praising the course's challenging layout and well-maintained greens, as well as friendly staff and good amenities. However, there are recurring concerns about poor maintenance of certain areas, issues with golf carts, and allegations of unprofessional and discriminatory behavior from staff. Additionally, some guests find the pace of play slow and are distracted by neighborhood activities near the course.

The course itself is decent, with some enjoyable holes and a fairly open layout. That said, it’s clear that maintenance isn’t a top priority. Fairways and greens could use a bit more care, and the overall presentation feels a little worn. The golf carts, in particular, seem to have a rough time, often breaking down or struggling mid-round. One thing that stands out (and is a bit distracting) is the activity happening right in the neighborhood areas. There are kids selling golf balls along the edges of the course, including in front of some homes. While cute at first, it quickly becomes a bit…

Used to play here every Sunday with my pops, since I do live in the community & we’ve always had an enjoyable time. With that being said, we haven’t played there in about a year. I went there with a group yesterday & the staff was VERY rude, from the clubhouse, to the bar, to the “marshall.” The only seemingly “happy” person, was the cart girl. Besides that, the greens need to all be replaced! I feel sad to say that it felt like some “racism” coming from the woman at the bar, as she was extremely rude to me, but then was very nice/respectful to the others! We had such a TERRIBLE experience, th…

Being from the Great Northwest and reading some of the past reviews— I was amazed of how great this golf course was. The course was challenging and very big. The greens were manicured and maintained. I did not see any sand on the greens as one would have put it. The staff, was very friendly and professional. The rental golf clubs were good to use. The bags had some good golf club brand names. The rentals does not come with tees or balls; you will have to provide your own. I had no issues with the golf cart, it ran smoothly. My group was not able to visit the restaurant so I can’t speak to that…

Great course for the price. I play out here pretty regularly as it’s a short drive from Rosharon. The greens are typically in good shape as are the fairways. My only complaint is there isn’t a marshall keeping the slow players in check. We always seem to get stuck behind a slow group that doesn’t have anyone in front of them.

Played here on 8/30/25 .......... Overall, the course is in good to great shape. Its been a long time that the fairways were this good in late August. Played in 4 hrs on a Saturday ! Good course management ......... The only negative was no beer girl (she has quit earlier in the week due to the heat)............. Great value for your $$

Fun track with nice views. They got hit with Harvey plus tornadoes so there is some damage to structures but the course is in good shape.

Real estate development gets no more irresponsible than sienna. Worst designed traffic jam I’ve ever seen. There is one way in and one way out. No thank you

My friend and i usually golf on the Northside of town (blackhorse, cypress lakes, tour 18 etc etc). We finally told ourselves to get out of our bubble and it was a great decision to go to Sienna Plantation! The course is challenging, its narrow, then its open, then it has blind shots, hazards, and big greens that you have to read well. The grounds keepers have done really well maintaining the place. The staff was friendly and the club house was clean. We are weekend golfers and we played from the blues. We usually shoot about low to mid 80s. The only complaint was navigating the course. They ha…

I don’t understand the recent negative reviews. I have played Sienna hundreds of times since 2007. It has gone through ups and downs over the years but is hanging in there very well. It is one of the best overall course layouts in the Houston area - good mix of distances and hazards on par 3’s, 4’s and 5’s. Number 2 and 18 are two of the toughest par 5’s around. I simply do not understand the comments about racism. I have played with many of the members of the club who are black. We always have a great time. They recently hired a new course turf superintendent. I met him and he knows his stuff…

I like this course. Just be mindful if you hit it into the water. There are gators around the area.

*1/5 stars* I'm extremely disappointed in my recent experience at [Sienna golf club]. The course itself was beautiful, but the staff's behavior was unacceptable. My friends and I felt targeted and discriminated against due to our [race/ethnicity]. The staff made comments and jokes that were clearly racist, and when we addressed the issue, they dismissed our concerns. The atmosphere was hostile, and we didn't feel welcome. I expect a golf course to provide a safe and respectful environment for all players. Unfortunately, [Sienna golf club] failed to meet these basic expectations. I would not…

**Blatant Racism and Rude Management** I had a terrible experience at Sienna Golf Course. The owner or manager was extremely rude and displayed clear racist behavior. It was shocking and deeply upsetting to be treated this way, especially by someone in a leadership position. There is absolutely no excuse for this kind of conduct, and it reflects very poorly on the entire establishment. I would strongly advise others, especially people of color, to avoid this course. Management needs to be held accountable and make serious changes
