South Shore Country Club

Played a best ball scramble, the event was very nice, drinks were very reasonably priced, the fairways and greens were in very good condition, the second cut was inconsistent (but not horrible). Overall, very nice course, i would reccomend if you are in the area. Only down side, 18 birdies app confused a few greens and had them crisscrossed, no fault of the course (app needs updated).

I can see this course having good potential. But fairways seemed like they haven't been cut in at least a week. Was having issues finding ball even in the fairways because the grass was so tall. Greens definitely need to be rolled. Friendly staff. Just very frustrating having to spend time after every shot looking for my ball, especially when it's in the fairways.

Super hot day today. Asked the guy that we paid for golf to buy a six pack of beer from the bar. Told us we couldn't buy beer from the bar. He told us we had to drive out to the half way house for beer. We said, "Why can't we just buy them from the bar?" He said the owners fiance would be mad at him if he sold us beers and we didn't buy them from her. When did businesses start catering to the workers over the people that are bringing in the money??? Bought a six pack from the halfway house, drank ours beers quickly, because it was super hot. Went back to buy more and they were closed too. Won'…

Very upset with the incredibly rude man that works the club house. A friend and I, he being a veteran tried to play the course on Memorial Day at 5 pm was treated with such disrespect and was told the course is closed. I dont understand why on a gorgeous day at 5 pm the course was closed but a simple sorry we are closed for the day would have sufficed. Instead he was extremely rude asking how we got into the club house (the doors were open and there was no sign stating they were closed). All I can say is FRIDAY NIGHT DINNERS ROCK!!! It's a diamond in the rough! Small restaurant with a beautiful view of Cedar Lake. It's only open from 430-830 but the selection of food along with the amount of food you get is outstanding and rare! The salad bar comes with all dinners and it has some of the best soup I've ever had! WARNING this place get busy so don't expect a fast dinner(fussy people stay away) Actually enjoy your time with your family/friends and eat your heart out!

The only thing worst than the dilapidated clubhouse and poorly kept course was the extremely rude clubhouse attendant. He yelled at us the moment we walked in the door, rang us up for 18 instead of 9 and tried making us pay for 18 because it was already rang up. Terrible customer service from the owner of a small business I would have liked to spend more money with. I would expect nothing else from an IU fan. Boiler up! If I am ever that unhappy, please drag me through the dead grass and into the scummy pond to put me out of my misery.

With all the rain that they had course is in pretty good shape . A couple of holes were rough because golf cart tore it up.

Great golf course, incredibly friendly staff. I dropped my work phone out on the holes and they were all out helping me look for it.

Fun little course and a good confidence booster. The course is overpriced for the mediocre condition it is normally in. Clubhouse guy is normally not very friendly

Went there for the ice racing had a good time decent bar and good food decent prices

Super friendly staff, GREAT food and the price was fabulous! We will be back for sure!!!

Good shape for all the rain we've had, trying to keep it mowed, doing a good job
